Nothing to do with vaping, but wanted to share since it's strange to me!

Bobbye - Do any of your students post pictures in the "Class Cafe"? Some of mine do, but not many.
Bobbye - Same with me... Some students are stellar and want to do well, but others just do whatever they need to do to pass the course. This bothers me, but I'm trying to get over it.

Yeah...It makes me kind of angry....already spent 5k on replacing roofs (within three months of moving in...). I just don't understand why you wouldn't just spend the money and do it right the first time....oh...guess they didn't plan on living here that long...
Makes me even more mad that I had two people come and inspect the house (glad I wasted 1200+ trying to do the right thing).
I'm going to have to do the electrical in my house too...they decided to wire the whole first floor to one breaker....DUH...that's not going to run the microwave, a tv, and ac at the same time...

I think I've been teaching online too long, it doesn't bother me near as much as it did years ago.
Yes, he is beautiful and a loving fluff ball. I've had Siamese for about the last 30 years and they are super intelligent -- dog like in how they play and communicate. And then there is Duncan .... he was sitting on my lap last fall and I saw his head tracking something. I finally saw that he was looking at a mouse that was running to his food bowl, grabbing a mouthful and running away. Darn mouse did it for over an hour and the most this cat did was watch.
Hey vaporgalinfla, here's another surprise. If you can find ten Jenn's I'll bet you'll find two of them have the same birthday. I don't know why this works out like this, but its something I had read many years ago and have found it to have some basis. In fact, you can check this in any room of ten people and again, two will almost always have the same birthday.

Maureen, you should maybe talk to a lawyer. If your house was inspected and the issues you describe were not found, or if the seller attempted to "hide" problems, you might have legal recourse against the seller and real estate company if one was involved.
I don't know anything about Pennsylvania law but it might be worth checking into and might save you a lot of money.

Wow! I have admin. rights because I also help the Program Director design courses. I'm going to look up all the Jenns! Maybe I should set up a survey for the Jenns. I wonder what questions I should include? For sure, I'll ask them what their favorite foods are.
Something else I forgot to mention before. All the Jenns write very well! All their assignments are so easy to grade.
Been there done that...unfortunately the seller moved down south and pretty much fell off of the radar.....at least I know when I get stuff done a little at a time that I'll do it once and get it done right....ugh.
Yeah, all us outlaws hide out down south here, especially in the Piney Woods of East Texas.
That's a bummer though, getting stuck with all that on your house. I had some friends go through something similar recently, so I have an idea of what your going through.
I'd like to say that I believe in karma and that the last person that owned this house will reap what they sow....

You know, for years and years I've had these reoccurring nightmares that I'm a Japanese sumo wrestler in the 1400's and this tall gal is slamming me with volleyballs. I wonder if that might be the thing in your past life ... nahhh.

On the reoccurring dream front....I used to have one when I was little....I'd walk upstairs in my house and go into my room to get my roller skates out of my closet. As soon as I got into my room and got my skates it'd go from day to night....I'd step out into the long hallway outside of my room and at the end of the hallway sat a person in a wheelchair wielding a knife...I'd run down the hall and down the stairs...as soon as I'd get to the bottom of the stairs it was daytime again and everyone was down there staring at me like i was nuts....i was 9 or so....
I had that dream every night for two years straight and I guess I should have known then that I have issues....

My daughter is a Jenni(nic) given name--Jennifer--and she is .... over proper writing and spelling.
I find that all the Jenn's are different in a strange way.
All the Jenn's and parents of Jens told me not to name my daughter that but it fit her looks meaning fair one, and she is, so...
The Jen's I know strive harder than the average person to be different,(blue font?) like they expect to win some kind of grand life award for that. They are hard headed, mouthy, have a really strange sense of humor, love to shock people, and love attention.
There are times I wish I had listened when I was strongly warned -not- to use that name, lol.
I know the ones I know may be an exception to other normal people with that name, but I can only call it from what I have seen. I guess names may be more than just names!

Some of you know that I'm a full-time online college instructor. Between my seven courses this quarter, I have seven students named Jennifer. All seven go by Jenn. I realize that's not unusual, since it's a common nickname.
This is what's strange to me: In the platform the college uses (eCollege), students can select the font, color, size, etc. All seven students use Verdana, size 10, dark blue.
No need to respond; I just thought I'd share this recent discovery since hubby doesn't seem interested.
Next time you give a test, design some sort of trick question like, What is your favorite Beatle album, and assign an extra point or some such thing, and see of all of your Jenns answer the same. I figure that if someone named Jenn knows who the Beatles are, then it may be an intersting test to see what they think.
I knew one Jenifer (Jenni). When we met, she had no idea who the Beatles were. After working with me for just over a year, her wedding included 13 Beatles songs... all at her request. See, the younger generation can learn from us old farts.

It runs in this family too! But the Jennifers take it to a whole new level. It's amazing. I have always said had she been born before my oldest daughter, I would not have had another.
She was a handful that was overwhelming but she is very smart, well, and stupid at the same time. Very loving and very bratty at the same time. They really are strange, lol

You're description of the Jens you know sound like my seven Jenn students! All are high performers and do much better than most of the other students. I love grading their work! All love praise and recognition; it's evident by their emails after they read my grading comments. In the online discussion, all challenge the other students, almost like they are trying to prove they are smarter than their peers.
Don't you wonder what your daughter would be like if you had named her something else?
