Not changing the way I am either. I'm too old for that. But then again, I wouldn't conduct myself any differently in any forum. The trolls will still be around no matter what the name is.

I have to agree with this 100%. If we drop the name because we want to go in a new direction, fine. If we change it because we want to attract new members, fine.

I will not change for trolls. If this is the reason, I am squarely against it. I don't fear trolls. Trolls will come to anything ProVari no matter what name we pick. That is precisely what The ProVarinati are for, is it not so? We should not change who we are for them.

Speaking of trolls... Can you imagine what a mess it's going to cause in the Variable Voltage APV forum when all of the posts from folks thinking of purchasing a ProVari / accessories / receiving their ProVari / etc.. all get thrown in there? It will be just like the old days again for sure...

The social group is all fine and well... I just feel bad for the new folks who won't have this sub-forum to have their posts directed (or moved) to...

There is no reason we can't invite them on over. Will some get lost? Sure. But, I do understand why they are reorganizing the site.

It kinda had to be done. We are, in fact, as much or more a social group than a technical assistance one.

I agree with all of that. This group is more social than assistance...then again, ProVati need very little tech assistance :)

I also think reorganizing the site is way over due. So many groups/sub groups/overlapping groups, very easy to get lost...and also duplicate questions being asked in multiple places simultaneously

I cannot tell you how odd I feel when I see my name next to those two when you group us together like that. It is only because they have taught me so much that people group me with them. I try to pass along what I have been taught by them (and countless others) so that I can repay their kindness to me.

(I do know more about rebuilding than both of those carto-heads put together, though.)

I look forward to you giving yourself warnings over questionably clad cheerleaders.

I thought about that as soon as I read retired1's post. It should be a hoot!

I must say, with all due respect to our female Provarinati, that I rather enjoy Eddard's questionably clad cheerleaders.
I intend to continue to post my Provari models.
