At the risk of sounding naive, we have been asked to write letters. WE are trying to keep our ability to vape. Lacey and the others are trying to keep their LIVELYHOOD. Again, I may be being naive but I think they just might know what they are doing here, maybe we should play the game and stop telling them how it ought to be played. I am one person, they are a group of people who own businesses. I can get the supplies I need regardless of what the government does, I am one person. Lets stop .....ing about how WE think it ought to be played and play the way the people who seem to be playing the game are recommending. I will have my letters sent out tomorrow. As for cloak-and-dagger sometimes there are reasons that things can not or should not be discussed. Perhaps we have more people fighting for us than we are aware of.
Lacey and all.....do your thing, I am behind you all the way.

I'm new to vaping and It has helped me to stop smoking analogs. Now I know it is meant to be only an alternative to smoking. But, I hate to put a damper on things but this sorry excuse for a gov't could not care less about what the people have to say. The e-cig will have to first have the tests to back it, second their will have to be massive amounts of voices heard across the nation for quit a while in order for the fda to then approve it. Hell, I believe that if cigarettes hadn't been around for soo long and the tobacco companies were not soo big they would ban them and I honestly believe these are the only reason why they analogs are still sold. The only way to put them out is for people to quit smoking them and I will probably no longer be living to see that happen. You can hope for the best but these are some real idiots you are trying to convince and if you don't believe me just watch Fox news for several months to get a good feel of who your dealing with.;)

Jc, all due respect but I ain't blindly following anyone without an explaination, keep in mind this stuff is banned all over the world and people seem to have no problem getting it, What is needed is for suppliers to invest some cash to get this approved and if you think that the gov. is going to let the suppliers self regulate you are insane, none of these products are proven to be safe, that is going to be there ammo against making it legal

If I was a supplier I would be very concerned. As a single user, not so much. I believe vapors in Australia and Canada still vape, they just get their goods from China where it all comes from anyway. Sure, you may get something seized at customs, but that RARELY happens. The size of an individual order doesn't get noticed.

I haven't heard any stories of people getting arrested in Australia, or other countries were it is "illegal" for simply possessing or vaping. Don't get me wrong, I will do my part and contact these government officals, I just don't see the day where I won't be able to ge the goods.

Bottom line is they the suppliers need to invest money into making this an issue because as far as the gov. is concered it is such a small nuisance it barely makes a dot on the radar, I understand that some of these guys and gals have alot of money riding on this but the truth is that this is just have to deal with the red tape that all industries have to endure.

And...

The suppliers have gone silent.

Good game!

Terra, you have a good head on your shoulder don't let it explode.

Give lacey a minute to respond. Maybe words could have been taken out of context. I think there are several issues to address for the future of Vaping.

Lets see where this goes.

I was ready to make some popcorn, but I'm too lazy. Besides my USB Pass through is not long enough to make it to the kitchen.

OK, I am going to make a few statements here, I probably was not clear, we are all a little emotional right now. PLEASE read and think about what I am saying...
(1) WE want the ability to vape. If the FDA bans these devices will we quit? NO, we as individuals can get everything we need to continue this healthier alternative to cigarettes.
(2) IF the FDA bans these devices will it hurt the businesses of our suppliers? YES, obviously they would be seriously impacted.
(3) As I said before WE want to be able to vape...The suppliers want to STAY IN BUSINESS, it is their livelyhood.
If there was not a valid reason for the request put out earlier do you REALLY think they would do it? As far as blindly following, Fenez, we are being asked to write letters, we are not being asked to jump off cliffs or drink kool-aid.
I am going to send my letters and have a little faith that these people are not only trying to help us but ultimately they are trying to stay in business.

John the Naive....I like it...Kinda like a knight or something.

P.S. trying not to sound pissy, hope it is working. Cant seem to insert a smiley when I edit

Could you refresh us on the bill? Are they banning everything including the e-cig as well as the liquid?

I don't mind telling my story but what story am I telling? I have not been vaping long enough to claim health benefits especially since the testing has only just begun, and I thought we did'nt want to claim they are a stop smoking aid even if we have stopped smoking.

To me it would seem more reasonable to include the fact that the ban seems to be related to keeping big tobacco in business more than concern for our safety and the safety of others.
Oh wait...let's not forget their lost revenue from the cigarette tax.

But as long as you are looking for write ins then don't stop with just users. Their children, friends, co-workers and family members who have benefited should write in as well. Thats gotta have some pull with them.

To educate the public on the hazards and benefits of e-cigs compared to the known of tobacco then ask them if they had to get rid of only one which would it be?

I will sit down tomorrow and write my letters but most likely it will be regarding what I feel to be the real issue which is discrimination and protecting the big tobacco companies. But I will say it nicely.

Sorry...I sound like a street corner preacher and actually I am much shyer than than when not sitting at a keyboard. :p
