I got my Janty yesterday, it has been working REALLY nicely, and tasted great. A little while ago my husband asked for it, took several vapes and handed it back to me. I took a vape and it tasted like I needed to drip a few more drops on the atomizer, I did, but it didn't work, there is an off taste. I can't explain it very well, but it is that taste you get when it is time to drip again, just a little more.

I do not have any more 801 atty's (they are on the way, but not here yet) Is there something I can do to get it back to the way it was? I don't want to have to use my 510 while I wait.

It sounds like your cart got dry or you have a bit of fluff on the atty from the cart material. If your cart is dry or the juice has a burny taste, then take the material out rinse and squeeze it under clean running water. pat it dry on a paper towel and fill it with fresh liquid..now vape? Oh and don't forget to rinse out the cart and dry it. See if that helps? If not try blowing out the atty from the back end and dripping a drop or two on it.

Hi MaryKay, it can't be cart filler, I did away with that yesterday when the Janty Stick arrived! I had been fighting with the direct dripping thing with my 510 (never got a good hit or vapor when I dripped on the 510) As soon as the Janty Stick got here the first thing I did was pull the filler out of the cart, dripped two drops on the atty, replaced the empty cart and it worked :D so this atty has never seen cart filler. Have I been doing something wrong? It really was working great, so it would seem strange I was.

It had been working fine this way since yesterday morning. Then this evening it tasted like it needed a drop, went and dropped two drops, took about 2 vapes it was working like a pro, then he asked for it, took several vapes and now its ALL BAD!!!! I did try blowing it out and putting a few more drops in. It did not help. I don't think it is flooded though because it is still producing vapor well. But then again I have no clue what the heck I am doing.

It seems like all your advise it geared towards the cart and the filler.... So now I don't know what to do. I am considering grabbing his when he isn't looking and switching atty's. The only problem is, he has been using his 510 more since the Janty's arrived and his atty isn't broken in as well. If this taste doesn't go away soon I will break it in.

OK... so now to make matters even worse I decided to go steal his atomizer and put it my Janty, but my atomizer does not work on his Janty. I made the switch and tried it on his and nothing! So I figured it was a shot atty, but outof curiosity I put it back on mine, there was still the yucky taste, but it worked! I don't think it is screwing in on his.

Guess we were posting at the same time. I told my husband about my theivery and how my atomizer wouldn't work on his Janty, he was able to twist it on there so it worked and he said I can keep his atomizer until the spears got here (isn't love great). It seems he does not taste the rancid taste and he seems to be happier with the 510 anyway. But then again I think his taste buds are more shot then mine!

I know I am not crazy, we are vaping the same flavor juice today and there is a definate difference between his good atomizer and my nasty one (which is now his nasty one)

So I guess if that atomizer makes it back to me and still tastes bad I will search the boards on how to give the atomizer a clean beyond blowing and over night draining. At least my immediate problem is solved.

Thanks a bunch for your help MaryKay

That's shipping fluid aka primer fluid and all Janty attys I have, have it. Soak in 151 or high proof clear vodka for about an hour - blow it out both ends, let it dry on paper towel, put it back in and drip about 3*4 drops of juice on atty bridge. Huff and puff a few times not inhaling and you should be good to go.

Those attys can be a bit hard to fully seat. Take the 801 cartridge cap and place it over the open part of the atty and use that as a 'wrench' to tighten. Always remove your cartridge clockwise to refill/drip, that way you're not unscrewing the atty.

Sometimes - rarely - you first have to get a screwdriver and tighten the adapter before inserting the atty. Careful on that screw clockwise gently until snug and then put atty in, etc. etc. You might PM Ethan, Luko or even Parked will help you if you're not quite getting it. Or go to Janty forum and ask....
