I got my ego-t today and I'm not liking it.

This is my first e cig. Ive watched tons of videos on vaping, and the mushrooming vapor had me inspired. So I get my package today, and the box say "ego." Not "ego-t," just "ego." No matter, I have to buy into this, I tell myself. So I fill a cart with some fruit juice, PG base. I make sure to fill only 3/4 full as Ive read up on some tips for the tank system. I take a few hits fully expecting the primer to disgust me. After maybe 5 hits Im tasting, or smelling perhaps is a better word, the juice. I start to inhale and exhale. Nothing. Barely a whisp. Wtf. If i blow it straight out my mouth there's a puff... But not when I inhale it? And it still tastes like crap... Like primer maybe... Or this "dratty" taste ive read about. I keep at it. Maybe 10 puffs in i see my juice is almost gone. Sigh... So i take out the cart to inspect it. Theres juice covering the cart and the atty insert. Maybe I was too hasty. At this point Im getting a bit angry so i decide to try it again. I use my other battery, my other atty, a new cart and different juice - creme de menthe. I carefully put it together and go through the motions to get rid of the primer. Ahhh some mint coming through... But still no vapor when I exhale, and its still dratty. And why does the battery decide that 5 seconds or whatever is enough? It cuts me off everytime during a long draw. Not like it matters - this thing stinks. Im about to break down. I need to quit smoking. I yank out this cart and it too is covered in juice. I was careful. I couldnt be more meticulous.

Where is my mushroom cloud of vapor? Where is the flavor everyone raves about?

What now ECF? Buy a new ecig? And when thats a fake/counterfeit/dud what then? Im serious when I say that the frigging nicorette inhaler is practically on par with this thing.

Lol well ranting did calm me down :p As did an analog. Ha - sorry :S

I'll charge the battery I guess and see if that helps. And Id rather not say who the vendor is until Im sure the unit is faulty and Im not just making some rookie mistake or something.

Oh and its probably worth mentioning that the batteries do not turn off when i press the button 5 times as per the manual.

Ill get some pics up soon.

I have the eGo-T and I feel; your pain. I have the exact same problem with the vap. I suck on the thing for 10 seconds and I get a very mild if any throat hit and even less vapor. I think maybe its because we are using PG based liquid and doesnt produce the same amount of a cloud as VG, but the throat hit is supose to be stronger with the PG base and it isnt. I have very little taste. I am using 18mg juice with a few drops of 32mg to bring it over 20 and nada. I am going to try different juices hoping its just that, but I doubt it. Mine doesnt cut off, so I can pull until my cheeks sink inside my face, but I dont get the satisfaction I so need. Luckily its given me just enough to not smoke analogs for 2 weeks now, but Iam sucking on this thing non stop 16 hours with no breaks to get half of what I was getting with an analog.

Did you not charge the batteries when you got the kit?

I am no expert by any means but with the eGo T atomizer you need to blow the primer out before using it.

With my experience I would say there are about 5 drops of primer in there. Just keep blowing into it from the top until there is no more primer visible on the bottom where it connects into the battery. Wipe the remaining primer off the bottom.

Fill the eGo T cart with your juice and insert it into the eGo T atomizer turn it a full 360 so that the hole actually opens up otherwise it may only be half way open. Pull the cart out to check and see the hole is fully open.

Then what I did was blow one short burst into the eGo T cart (while in the atomizer) and you should be set to start vaping.

Give it a shot and let us know.

I just tried it, and nothing changed. I tried cleaning it, changing carts, changing juice from du more in may to canadian full flavour to marlee boro. I tried dripping with a drip atomizer that came with it, and I got more on my hands and mouth then in my lungs, I used 3 drops. are we doing something wrong?

In my experience with the eGo-T , I can see how a new vaper, not knowing what to expect could run into problems. I can hold down the button for a good 90 second inhale on an eGo-T, and not really get much. On a regular ego I could probably inhale for about 30-40 seconds. On my 306 LR 20 seconds and I cant take anymore.

Maybe the eGo-T is not for beginners?

Rob

are you sure the tank was pressed in far enough. I finally broke a tank. dropped my pv on the cement too many times... it was my usb passthrough battery too and now it only charges on the charger lol

I ordered a ton of flavours and for me, and many of my friends that have tried, the fruit stuff didn't cut it. I was of the understanding I wouldn't like tobacco flavours and turns out those are what I like. chocolates were cool too. that said. I have to have both tanks setup at the same time so I can alternate or they get a bit warm I vape so much. when I am at home I can vape 3-4 ml in a day. the ego battery does have a cutoff but man it's a long time. I can count to 10 or 11 and I am coughing now testing that theory lol... black cherry tobacco mmm

please note, I do not want to start an argument or put the eGo-T down in any way. I just want to know if we are doing something wrong so we arent getting the full vap experience with these.

I was a beginner and I had no problem using it. There is definitely a problem. Hmm. I have read a few times that some posters didn't have it pushed in all the way but they thought they did. Check that too. I do get a lot of vapor and a good throat hit with high strength nicotine. Flavor is a little muted in the Ego Tank in my opinion though. I really want you to figure this out b/c I am very happy with mine.

Not trying to put the eGo-T down at all. These were designed for convenience and In my personal opinion, the convenience takes away from the experience... READ you probably wont see too many experienced vapers "wanting" to use an eGo-T.... Other than for when they are in situations where dripping or refilling would be inconvenient.

Ian I recommend if at all possible you head up to see Jack on the weekend, at Dr. Fleas. He will let you try out various different devices and you will see the difference right away. Also he will be able to quickly spot if you are doing anything wrong.

Rob

Ive had it two weeks now. I am thinking I am doing something wrong, or the unit is malfunctioning or clogged. I hear all kinds of good reviews about the eGo-T and trying very hard to like it. I have no idea how to take this apart to clean the wick. Is the tank system supose to be really hard to draw off of? Why do I look like I just washed my hands in liquid when I tried dripping. Just today I am starting to hear the flavour with the ego is alot less then with anything else. I am going to try a 32mg liquid in hopes thats all the problem was. I have to double or triple pull to get a half decent throat hit. I hope threw this concat does get the vaping experience he needs too and not go back to analogs.

ahhh great to know there is a guy at the flea market. and seeing you mentioned him he must be very reputable. I noticed alot of experienced vapours using everything but the eGo in the videos. I got it because it looked nice, convienent, easy to use, and threw some videos thought it was the Cadillac of units. I will go see him this weekend. Thnks Rob.

Good advice there Rob.

Personally even though I have an eGo T - I still prefer to drip with a LR510, it just tastes better and it keeps my hands busy.

I would love to try the LR510 as you suggested, and I think I will lol.

P.S I hope I didnt hi jack concats thread lol

Please be careful in where you say eGo and mean eGo-T. The eGo is a very nice unit, and you did great in choosing that. Maybe not so great in choosing the "T" part ;) .... the good news is you just need a cone and an atty (or two) either way Jack will take care of you, and hopefully see right away what you 'might' be doing wrong.
