No matter what I tried, I kept getting a hot spot right at the top of the coil. This kept giving me a bad burned taste. But then I remember the Ody...and how people use resistance and NR wire. So I thought what the heck...I pulled out some copper wire I had laying around, cut about 1.5 inches of 32 gauge Kanthal and fixed it up between the two pieces of copper. I made sure the ends of the copper just touched the SS wick at the top and bottom...I set my LT for about 3.2..and WHAM! Tons of vapor! There is a mild burned taste..which I think comes from where I compromised the carbon build up on the old coil...but I am actually starting to get taste out of this thing! And the coil is starting to heat alot more evenly.
