I just finished a manual PT tonight for a 401 and I threw in a diode (1N4001) to try and avoid feeding my atomizers to it. My Kensignton puts out 5.20v and it took it down to 4.6v which is right about where I wanted it to be.

The 401 is pumping out vapour now but I can't vouch for certain that the atty life won't be affected.

Nuck,

Thanks for the tip on the diode! :)

I was running a homemade manual PT for my 901 off an old 5.2v 1300mA brick transformer I had. Although the 5.2v produced generous amounts of vapor, the super heated juice didn't seemed as flavorable compared to battery vaping. After my 3rd atty died in two weeks I decided now was the time to tone it down a bit. Your suggestion with the diode dropped it to a nice 4.6v which not only produces good vapor, but a good taste as well. Now we'll see if I can get a little longer life from the attys.
