Guys that's awesome advice, thanks a bunch. Japanese cotton - need to get me some of that!

My first experience with Japanese cotton was with a product called Koga. It's small sheets of highly combed Japanese cotton with fibers that make the sheet look like all the fibers run in the same direction like cloth, but without the cross fibers. You just snip off a length with scissors and roll it into a wick and insert. It's better than anything I've used yet, although all Japanese cotton is superior to domestic cotton we buy in stores here.

I was getting 2 or 3 days with standard American cotton before the flavor went South. I can easily go a week on Koga.

I haven't been in yet, but I hear that Sally's Beauty Supply sells packs of Japanese cotton sheets for a good price. It's supposedly used in applying and removing makeup.

My next experiment will be Sally's Cellucotton. It's a rayon fiber pad. The link below is an ECF thread about it.
