If you want a gun you should be able to have one. But I think that felons, crazy people shoukld not be alowed to have one. A test is a good idea because you need to know how to use a gun safely. Guns will always be around but they need to be out of the hands of the people who should not have them. I was walking home one day and was shoot at in a drive by. My friend was shoot by her ex husband, who was crazy and should have not been sold a gun. guns are fine but they can kill so we do need to be sure the ones who get them should have them.

Im not sure what they do in MN... but here is NY, a felon and/or crazy people cannot own firearms. Whether its pistols or long guns.
Part of the licensing is a criminal and mental background check. So those rules, to my knowledge, are already in place.

I actually have a 16 shot (15+1) Glock 22 .40 cal S&W. It is my primary carry and home defense weapon. It is equipped with a XP6 150 lumen tac. light laser combo. My backup is the trusty ole .38 snubby. Now if things get really dicey I have a S&W model 1200 semi-auto 12 gauge shotty. Shes a bute. And I'm surgical with that ......

Just because someone listens to rap music has no bearing on my right to own a gun. It also does not mean that I don't know how to properly shoot or take care of my guns.

Sounds like Im comin to your house if they come to get us. My buddy had the 15+1 Glock .22. It was his carry out and about gun. She was tiny, but we always said, any gun will kill ya just as dead.
You must make more money than me. I'd have all that stuff, I just cant afford those damn laser sights! I have the standard Ruger 9mm, and my carry is .380. My pride and joy is my EAA Witness .40cal... custom grip, 4 way adjustable sight and 4 hole ported barrel. I wanted to put some laser sights on that one, but then I thought, hell if Im gonna use it on someone, that means they're close enough for me to see. Loaded with the hydro-shock hollow points, even a near miss will dump a guy.
And like you, if things got dicey...I can grab the Remington 870 or the Winchester 1300. Both fitted with low-light laser dot scopes, and 3 1/4" hollow points. I dont like it when the deer run too far;).

Glad ya arent mad bro. Rap music or otherwise, a brother with legal arms is still a brother.

My best,

Taking our guns away?? um, didnt obama pass a law allowing people to carry loaded firearms into state parks? The $25 tax, whatever. Im totally cool with the written examination. Idiots who cant pass it, shouldent own a gun anyways. Ill register my guns it doesnt bother me at all. I dont plan on murdering anybody.

I got a good deal on the glock....Im lucky enough to live near one of the best gun stores in the U.S. Whittaker Guns The place is like a gun lovers disneyland. Anyway, I was having trouble deciding between the glock and the springfield xd .45 I chose the glock because I went to my city's citizen police academy and they took us to the firing range. The cops in my town carry the glock 22. I LOVE the way it feels in my hand. It shoots straight- right out of the box. And the glock is legendary for its ruggedness and reliability. Most of my other guns I inherited from my grandfather. He was sheriff of Henderson, Ky back in the 70's. I have several hunting rifles although I rarely hunt anymore. I have thought about maybe selling some or trading them... I really want an AR-15 and a .44 magnum.

Yes, and that legislation represented the largest expansion of personal gun rights signed into law over the last 50 years. Of course, that fact won't stop 'wingers from smearing the guy as anti-gun.

Personally, I don't get where owning a gun is a human right. That's certainly the way that some of the gun advocates around here frame it. Thing is, the second amendment allows for the "right to bear arms," not the right to own whatever gun you choose. A gun is a piece of technology. It's not a right. Having the means to defend yourself, your interests and your government is a human right, but that right isn't directly connected to a specific piece of technology. Saying that gun ownership is a human right is akin to saying that iPhone ownership is a human right. Practically equally absurd IMO.
