Occasional bad bottle of e-juice

I've been using the same online vendor for about a year now. I always buy 24mg 50/50 juices, and I go through probably six 36ml bottles a month with my Joyetech eGo-C. Over the past year, I have twice received a bottle that seems different from the norm. I refill the tanks in my e-cig with a syringe, and with those two particular bottles, I could barely get the juice into and then back out of the syringe. The juice did seem a bit thicker than usual, as bubbles tended to move more slowly through the juice. Also, when vaping, it seemed to irritate my lungs a bit, primarily on the exhale - similar to the first time I ever tried an e-cig.

My question is, assuming that something is not quite right with this particular bottle, is this indicative of too much PG? Too much VG? The flavor of this bottle is pineapple, so does pineapple juice tend to be thicker for some reason? Would distilled water work to thin it just a tad?

That's odd, because the irritation might be coming from the PG, but the excessive thickness would be from too much PG. How was the flavor on the off bottles?

You meant VG in the latter part of that, right? VG is the more viscous ("thicker") of the two.

Does this vendor make his/her own juice? It sounds like it's got more VG than normal. Does the vapor seem smoother, thicker, and maybe less flavorful?

If you use distilled water, add it a drop at a time. Little goes a long way and you don't want to overdo it. Better would be to get some PG to cut it. Simply putting the bottle in some warm water to thin it out for the syringe might be enough to do it, too.

EDIT: The fact that it's pineapple shouldn't change it: flavoring typically comes in a PG solution.
