Octopus help

Got my octopus rba today. Where's the clouds of vapor I heard about? I don't know if I need to add my drops or what. I barely get vapor production, but getting a little gurgle. What happens if I put to much liquid it? I kind of think I need to add more being I am not getting vapor. Thoughts?

You just want to drip enough to keep it wet, I don't know the well size on the Oct. but, depending on that, is your fill amount.
And gurgling...try and keep the airhole pointed up when you vape.

Actually the stock airhole on the octopus is not a side hole. the air inlet is directed upwards, from directly under where you build your coil. You will not be blowing any clouds with that airhole. Maybe a little smog.. If you aren't happy with it, you need to drill a 1/16" airhole in the side, directly beside and slightly under where the coil goes. Go bigger with the hole if you like lung hitting. As to the liquid, you only need enough liquid to get the wick wet. Don't pool the liquid. You should be able to fully fill the wick with the entire cap off. Keep researching it, under the name smoktech rda or octopus. There is alot of info out there. Have fun!

Like TheSystemHasFailed said don't overfill and keep the air hole pointed up. There is no well for juice to collect in so the excess just goes down the air hole. Also make sure the coil is sitting right over the air hole. I used this guide here to set mine up and it works great.

i found it worked good for like the first day then sucked until i built my own wick then i clogged the deckhole and drilled one same height as the wick and wow.

so are you drilling the airhole on the first grove coming down from the top?

Thanks all... Good ideas. I will check it out when I get back home and play around a bit. Would it help to trim the wicks down a bit? Awful lot of wick in there..

i think so as if your not careful they can get in the way.and that could very well be part of your problems.
the best thing to do is if the coil is working properly just try nudging it a little bit over the air hole. i found with bottom feed air designs (just my experience) the vapor seems better if its slightly skipping off the side of the coil and not directly covering the whole intake.

1.1 mm with a doubled up rattail wick same way they did it on the original about 3-4 mm thick and KAPOW throat is numb and my head feels woozy.

plenty of room for excess liquid now with no flooding.
