Is this an Octopus or ??? - 3 posts/pins?

Newbie vaper AND newbie dripper here!

I went to the local B&M today for my first rda. I wanted either a Nimbus clone or an Octopus. Turned out all they had in stock was the Octopus, so I went for it and got some extra juice because I was spending $8 less

They had the silver and the black...here's where the weird part comes in though. The silver had 2 posts just like all the videos, and the black had 3!

It was also already set up for dual coil. The spare is a single coil, set up like every pic and video I've found.

The air holes in the base seem to be similar, though this one has one horizontal hole between the o-rings and 1 vertical hole on each side of the posts under the currently 2 coils, for a total of 3.

The cap only has the one hole. I'm thinking line that up with the horizontal base hole right?

The coolest part though is that the base has a bit of a reservoir to maybe cut down on the leaking.

Is this a new design that the reviewers haven't done a video on, or did I get something else (not a smok Octopus) ?

Dunno. My Smoktech only has two posts but a lot of everything else about yours looks very similar.

wow a dual coil octi? lol bet thats a cloud maker. as cheap and simple as it is the octi is a surprisingly good little dripper.

the ones i have even though the hole in the top cap should line up with the base there is enough air leaking in between the orings it didnt seem to really make a difference where you put the cap.

Vapor production is much higher than my Protank 2 on my iTaste MVP 2.0. I brought it all the way up to 9.5 watts, and no burn thus far. Flavor is much stronger...good thing I listened to the B&M and got some 12mg juice instead of dripping the 18mg I use in my clearomizers

I checked a couple of my usual suppliers and the two post version ain't there no more. Considering all things look so similar - right down to the posts - maybe this is a second generation?
