I'm definitely no expert but I've had this happen to one of my evods where it won't fire on my vamo, too...
I usually have to tighten it down/screw it in more on the Vamo so it makes more contact with the battery.. It's a little bit iffy, but when I do that, it'll finally fire. It's just that one evod/atty head that does it so it's being temperamental at times. Hope that helps! =)

Thanks, I tried tightening more but no luck, I just replaced the coil assembly and that seems to have worked. I guess it was that time

Glad it worked out for you!
A 9.9 reading means that there is nothing there... there is no circuit that it sees. Either a blown coil or the coil base hasn't made contact with the center post.
I have a different issue with mine, I have Innokin iClear 16's with 2.2 dual coil, my Vamo is reading the resistance as 4.2
I switched coils and it read 2.3,
If I try to go 5-6 volts on the one reading 4.2 it fires hot, it fires like it is 2.2, in fact it vapes fine at 4.1V
what would cause this one coil to read so funny
