My GG:
GGTS. With Stealth re-threader, UFS steel atomizer connector, original control tank, UFS air ring, brass 510 cap.

Battery: UltraFire XSL18350 1200 mHa 3.7volts.

Multi-meter: Innova 3300, fresh battery

Problem: Assembled GG with button on reads the voltage accurately.
With the button off, it holds a .50volt charge that drops slowly. Even stranger, if I test it, release it, test it again, the voltage increases .10 consistently.

Efforts: swapped all springs, inspected and cleaned all parts, inspected the battery cover (sleeve).

I test it with the Stealth cap, no problems. For 48 hours I've been looking into this and can't isolate it. All questions and suggestions welcomed, thanks.

Imeo,
I was testing it by placing the positive test point on the center post, and the ground to he GGTS body, when the I happened to noticed what the voltage was with out the button on. It was .50 volts, every time I tested it in succession, the dead voltage was going higher .60, .70, .80 volts with the button off.

What I did was put vaseline on the shaft of the center post, that dropped it down to .20, or so.

I tested the stealth cap as well and it drops to .0 volts, this is only happening with the steel UFS atomizer connector, I had it stripped down to that single piece looking for the problem.

As far as I can tell it just seems to be holding a small charge. I don't have a add-on volt meter to test it under load.

At first I thought it was completing the battery circuit, and I couldn't find the connection.

Its over my head, I cant explain it.

Thanks for your interest.

I understand what you are saying. So if you swap the center pin with the other center pin assembly, does it do the same thing? If so then it is something to do with the UFS connector, if not, it's something to do with the center pin assembly.

I tried this with mine, only with the regular collection tank, I tested just as you described. mine slowly bleeds off the charge of the button being pressed, when my multi meter (autoranging) drops below .5volts it automatically starts measuring milli volts. Is your multimeter auto ranging? is there a setting to measure in milli volts? Maybe it's reading .5 volts because it's at the bottom of it's range on the setting you have it on. (I'm just thinking out loud since I only have an auto ranging multi meter)

It's certainly interesting and I would like to figure out what's going on with your's too.

Because of my lack of formal skills regards electrical currents and the like, I have watched this with interest but from afar. I am beginning to wonder like Rick if it is your DMM.

From what little research I can feel comfortable with, if it is actually retaining the volatge in the GG, then it is acting as a capacitor. Until you can tell us what DMM type you are using (ato-ranging or not), I am thinking it is the Meter.

But again, that is my (un)educated guess. If that isn't it, we have a true anomoly as I don't see how this setup would function even accidentally as a capacitor.
