One thing to remember.
If you do have a shipment seized, your address will be put on a nice little "watch list", and you can be sure that everything with your name and address coming to you will be put aside and thoroughly checked. I'll keep buying in Canada. Hopefully we will get some really decent suppliers of base liquid in this country! :2c:

Who told you this about a watch list ? I have never heard that before . Just curious .

I've heard people say this is just BS. Multiple people have shared stories of shipments being seized, but subsequent shipments giving no problems whatsoever. The receiver would not be the one "blacklisted" so to speak, it would be the sender if anything.

We did see on one episode of "Border Security" where the CBSA agent said they'd go check in the computer to see if they had any "history" on that importer.

Without saying too much, what works for me is to use super fast (yes, expensive) delivery. The CBSA agent looks at it and thinks "Oh, that could be liquid nicotine, better go check it out and see what trouble I can cause", oops it's gone, it's been delivered :)

While there is no "law" against possessing ejuice, Health Canada seems to think that they have the ability to control/ban eliquid. Just be aware, depending on who you get in customs, the possibility does exist that your juice may be seized. There are some good stores in the Montreal area, though, so restocking would not be an issue if this were to happen.

Was watching an episode of Border Security on the weekend, CBSA officer claiming that once they have seized contraband to/from a particular shipper/receiver the addresses go on a list and they keep an eye out for "similar" packages. Obviously they were referring to narcotics seizures but no doubt the same applies to other products, perhaps with less zealousness.

I've seen this also. I'm sure once ANY action is taken against a shipper or receiver you are both flagged in their computer system, in fact when you pay duty on any imported item you are in their computer system. Of course to imagine that they can check every address crossing the border for previous enforcement activity (when we consider all the e-commerce that occurs every day is not believable - the volume of shipments just from eBay transactions of stuffed animals and action figures alone is far too great for them to be able to do this). People have had their juice seized only to have subsequent shipments clear without problems. CBSA can seize items covered by the Criminal Code (e.g. Drugs, Firearms, etc.) but Nicotine is exempt as a drug under Schedule F (if the intended dose is less than 4 mg/dose), they also can't call it a "new drug" (they lost that battle also).

I'm not saying your shipment can't be seized, returned or even destroyed - just that they don't have the right to do this as far as I can tell - which doesn't seem to be stopping them from doing it.

Duly noted, thanks.

I guess I'll, uh, be bringing a couple of extra bottles of travel-sized shampoo. :D
