Too small for rubber bands. Ordered a pair of latex coated gloves from amazon to try.

My Ody drip mode is IMPOSSIBLE to take apart. I even applied vaseline to all the threads before assembling. Any ideas on how to loosen the mouthpiece from the base?

try putting it in the freezer for 15 minutes

Bishop. Do you mean torch from the bottom?

Here you go bud torch here where I marked using a butane torch lighter for 3-5 seconds all around. then use paper towel on both hands and counter clock wise. if you feel a grind then its the negative wire that may have gotten into the thread. if this happens you can torch a little more. avoid torching under the base only torch the area i showed in pic.

This product from Zee works miracles. It's very grippy, and makes applying torque to the small body of the Ody drip base easy.

This is a really good thread. Been using drip mode Ody for a long time and never even thought about putting it in UFS duh. Got a couple of UFS's that haven't been getting much use lately. Would you just use the drip mode base with rebuildable part? More info on exactly how it is setup would be much appreciated. Of course I will experiment myself but love to get ideas from other folks. Thanks!!!

Hi anavidfan, I only want to remember You that the Ody drip mode can be use in the UFS and I can tell you that is AWESOME, works very fine, has no leaks, and I think you will be love it.

you need one more upper body for UFS and a V1 Ody rebuildable part smitty. Do you have those parts?

Yes I do Imeo. Putting it together right now and can't wait to try it out. The longer I have GG's the more amazed I am at how versatile they are. So many different ways to use them to suit everybody's personal taste. I'm just as excited now as if I were getting a whole new GG hahaha. Thank you Imeo and thanks to the folks on this forum who share tips and assistance.

Got out my old GGTS/UFS combo (GGTS #1261 Nickel I think) and put a V1 Ody rebuildable part in it with a double wick as Rivernut suggested. EXCELLENT!!! I'm excited.
