Happy Labor Day weekend ECF! So here is my story-

One month ago my GF bought me an eGo starter pack with the hopes of helping me reduce analog smoking. At the time I was a half pack/day smoker for 14 years who had previously failed three times to quit before. I have always been conscientious of the putrid smell analogs put off and after the GF mentioned the lingering smell on my clothes and breath, I was ready to try quitting again.

The eGo starter kit included two bottles of tobacco flavored juices, which I tried. My first few puffs were interesting, I was intrigued by the idea that I could smoke inside with no lingering smoke smell. The tobacco flavor was quite strange, bearable, I suppose. After reporting my findings to the GF, she was pleased that I gave her e-cig idea a try. She then opened pandora's box, telling me about the various flavors and devices offered. This immediately peaked my interest, different flavors!! No way!!

The next day, we went to her vendor friend, tried a few samples and was hooked. I purchased a few more flavors and CE4 clearo's to tinker with. 2 days with no cravings for analogs, this thing must be working, I thought. Now I have a flavor that actually tastes good to boot. Can't complain.

Took the setup to work all week, got a few looks from analog co-workers, talked to them about my story and they seemed interested. Actually got two to start "vaping" with me that week! I was excited to have new friends along for my journey. Soon enough, I had a few more flavors to my collection as my new "team" started trading juices.

At this point, I'm 7 days in, having "cheated" once or twice and finding that analogs just taste nasty and stinky. Why put up with that when I can having something as delicious as Blueberry or Sweet Tart, and not smell like an ash tray? I'm beginning to believe in this e-cig thing. It's now Week 2, I'm finding myself researching e-cigs online. I stumble upon ECF and start reading- who knew there was so much out there!? I start wanting more. Can't wait to try new flavors; want to get my hands on APV's. Obsessed?

21 days and counting, I can count on one hand how many analogs I've smoked. Being around analog smokers while they do the deed does not bother me anymore. I have absolutely no cravings and actually start thinking cigs are gross. I'm excited about this new revelation. It's Moday, and there are now 8 new eGo owners at work. LOL! Wow, that's cool I think. Met a guy who tells me about The Pink Spot Vapors store front. I go there twice that week, so many flavors to try! Wait until I tell the guys at work! So now, armed with ~10 new vapers at work, we have stock-piled a small cache of juices. I'm happy, but it doesn't end here. Hours of research on this forum lead me to the ProVari and I've taken the plunge. Can't pass up a deal on the Blem Black Chrome.

Day 25 the ProVari arrives. Who knew VV made so much of a difference? My vaping experience will never be the same! Looking at some of the ProVari pr0n the users of ECF have posted gets me envious. I MUST have some cool tanks too. Pro-V cartomator on order. Maybe I'll get lucky to get a Lava Tank. Bella/Elegance and Phiniac's are one click away from being purchased. Aaaagh!! At least I haven't had an analog in a while..

So today is my one month anniversary. I told myself I'd register and share if this e-cig thing stuck for a month. And.. that's how it started. I'd like to thank everyone for all the valuable information shared on this forum. I'm analog free and excited to now be a part of this wonderful family.

Thanks for all the replies! Vaping is pretty awesome and I'm having a lot of fun with it. I think what makes it even more worthwhile is being able to share it with others, be it online through this forum or with co-workers. I'm blessed to have GF who cares so much as to help me start quitting. Next milestone/goal is breakeven day! LOL!

And, yes I do noticed that my taste buds have returned, along with increased appetite. Is it coincidence that all we talk about at work these days is food and vaping?

Pink Spot Vapors is pretty neat! Their store front has a lounge/bar type atmosphere- barstool and tables, couches, tv. It's football season now, I can totally see people hanging out there when the games are on. Funny you mention swagger, it was on my list to try next visit.

Congrats bro. Your story is very close to mine, (a lot of others as well). I really cant think to put a smoke to my mouth after only 2 weeks. No other way of trying to quit has been this easy. Jumping to the Provari so quick eh? Got me thinking a bit. Thinking Lava but I like your thinking a bit more.

Audionut,

So I researched both devices quite extensively. The Chrome LavaTube from Volcano was actually what peaked my interest to begin with and I still may save up to get one. I think what swayed me was the awesome pictures the forum members posted in the ProVari section. Some of the set-ups they have are amazing!

If I had a Provari, I wouldn't spend the money for a Lavatube. I've got an Apollo VTube (same thing) in stainless steel and I like it, but I doubt I'd use it very much if I had a Provari.

If I had a Provari and just had to have another PV, I'd probably go for something completely different like a Reo bottom feeder. I just got one and I like it a LOT.

Ten new Vapors plus One that started them all, Eleven total. Can you imagine all the money the Tobacco Companies are loosing because of this? And the Local Tax revenue that is going out the Window? Depending on what state and county slash city you're living in. With all those people that can amount to literally a thousand or so dollars a week!

Pappy- your advice seems on par with most of the other forum users. One day I hope to amass a collection of various APV's like other members. It seems though many users are content with purchasing x2 of whatever system they find best. I'm of the opinion, variety is the spice of life :)

Xanderxman- honestly, could I do without a ProVari? Yes. The eGo's work like a champ. Do I love my ProVari? Absolutely. I just fell off the deep end.. good luck and happy vaping!

Salt&PePPer- Las Vegas, NV. I'm just happy to not be handcuffed by the Marlboro man. I hope it lasts this time, and I am blessed to be able to share my journey with others.

Grats! your experience is very similar to mine!

We even live in the same town! Pink spot rocks! and it is a very hip atmoshpere to hang out in and try flavors. They have some great juices too. We are really lucky to have them near by. Well sort of near by, I live near frys so you know what a hike it is to get there for me but its well worth it.

Did you start at sin city vapors? Their juices suuuuck! lol very chemical tasting. I got my starter kit there and the juice that came with it was not the greatest for sure and I wasn't sure the ecig thing was going to work out. Then like you I found out pink spot was in town and the day I went there I put the cigs down immediately. The swagger showed me how good vaping could be and I instantly wondered why in the world I would want to smoke cigs when I could Vape these awesome juices.

Since then I have made several trips to Pink Spot and tried a whole bunch of their juices. They have several I really like.

Lately I have been branching out and trying some other online venders based on reviews on this board and I gotta say that while pink spots juices are great Rawr just recently blew me away with a couple of their flavors.

Anyway How lucky are we to have a store near us that has such a great selection of juices that we can just walk in and sample to our hearts content. I am not sure that without that store I would still be vaping.

Grats on the new hobby!

OH Sin city has the Vivi novas in stock by the way and also the thor rebuildable clearo. I find myself going to Sin city for my hardware.

Grats on putting down the cigs and on finding the spot!
