I will, it'll be hectic as usual, but there's always fun too.
I'm already tired though. I had to get equipment and stuff coordinated from 4 buildings to get everything ready to go. A few last tiny bits today, and then i have to pack.
yep. this'll be the 17th year that i'll be involved with the course. I took it in '98 (the second year it was offered) went back as a TA while i was in grad school and now i'm the course director.
Good morning. CES I was thinking that you had done that last year. I hope you have a good time. In just under a month we'll be taking my daughter to college. Lots to do still. We need to get her car looked at, set her up with a check card, and buy a laptop.
Hey Hitt, I assume you have a mortgage? Because all these roofers assume I do and they think I am happy if they worked it out with my insurance and nothing out of my pocket. I do not have a mortgage so my insurance already sent me a 30k check. Its my money so the lower the better for me as this includes gutters, garage doors my grill in the back yard, but the roofers want to know what the total is from insurance.
Why yes I do still have a mortgage. I see your point. It's a good idea to try to get it done as cheap as possible. To me it's kind of rude that they are asking how much you got from insurance. It should be the same price no matter what.
Yeah, they want to squeeze as much as they can from insurance. We have 40 year shingles and I want them to go on and put up the same type but nothing fancy, if we were going to stay here I would upgrade but I'll be putting the home up on the market hopefully in the next month or so.
I think they are not necessarily dishonest, its just the way they are used to doing it. I did have another one I had used in the past come by today and tell me the adjuster missed a code violation so he is going to contact my insurance company. I also got the yard mowed and washed Ms. PTs car as we are going sell it, her company car comes in Monday.
I took the oldest to look at laptops and we ended up getting a 256gb Mac air that was on sale and got a $100 student discount. It was a decent deal. Better than at the Apple Store.
They are kind of pricey PT but that's what her high school issued the last three years so she's used to it. Also some of the other parents that I've talked to said that the MacBook Air usually outlasts the regular laptops 2 to 1. If you look at it that way then it's not quite as expensive. Also she has an iPad Air that we got her for graduation and an iPhone so they will all work well together. I also bought her a 1tb external hard drive for backup. They sure have gotten cheaper.
