3-Using your finger,pry the bottom part that magically appeared after sliding said tube so the inner part of it goes sideways
4-Fill the $?@% thing
5-Push the tube back home
6-Reinsert drip tip
7-Plug the bottom hole (that goes in your battery) with a finger,then so slightly suck on the drip tip 5-6 short and gentle times (you dont want to suck up juice,if you do,spit it out and go rinse your mouth toroughly--have kleenex or spitum ready)
8-Leave it alone 15-30 minutes (I know,resistance is futile)
9-marvel at your futur bliss and ponder what diff. colors of e-liquids you can pour in it to make in pritty-er
10-Vaaaaaaaaaaape for a week

Never had to let my cartos sit. My procedure for filling a carto:

1. Tilt and drip while rotating, 2-4 drops at a time, letting it slide down the sidewall and soak into the filler.
2. Lather, rinse, repeat until liquid doesn't seem to be soaking in anymore and/or you're getting drops out the bottom end.
3. If necessary, wipe off the bottom end, blow out any excess liquid gently.
4. Cap/drip tip and vape.

Never had to wait, never had any issues regardless of the carto being used. The only minor exception is about a minute or two wait if I'm filling a Vision and didn't prime the coil with a drop or two after filling. That's just to let the liquid soak up through the wick and into the coil.

When filling a DCT I just do steps 1-4 above, and then:

5. Insert DCT carto into tank with the rubber cap still on (keeps semi-sharp edges from slicing O-rings on the way in)
6. Stop when the top is about 2-3mm from the top
7. Tilt DCT slightly, drip liquid by making contact with the bottle's nozzle to the side of the endcap, letting the liquid adhere to the sidewall and drip down the side. Fill to desired capacity.
8. Push carto up the rest of the way, remove endcap, add drip tip, screw onto battery and vape your brains out.

Now, with DCT cartos lately I have found that there's inconsistency in the density of the filler. Some are tightly packed and don't absorb liquid well, leading to me having to slot them to get more liquid in there. Some are loose and tend to flood a bit even without slotting, and even with 70/30 juice. Some are fine the way they are. SmokTech seem to have been letting their QC slip a bit lately.

The last batch of cartos I got for my tank are just not cutting it, don't know what's going on with them, I'm just not getting the kind of vape I was getting off my original batch, lots of dry hits, I've enlarged the hole, primed, poked, prodded and sucked---no joy. Gonna order another batch when I get paid and hope for the best. Back to regular cartos for now though

I've had a few good ones, I've had one that took in too much juice and leaked, and presently have one that's got too much filler and has a hard time taking in juice at all. The latter I was able to slot it and it's wicking a little better now, but still. SmokTech have gotta get back on the ball here.

ETA: It's not just the stuff Adam got either, the ones Vaporus got are the same way across different resistances.

I seem to be awesomely lucky as I still use the same 1st tank I bought from canvape...in fact I bought 5,all are in service and vape blissfully well w/o leaks or hiccups (noteerhaps I should sell them as prototypes for twice i got them,prefilled,of course)..
lets go into meaningless details shall we...they respectively boast: red licorice 24mg from GRBC/minty bubblegum/DIY cinnamon/french toast/DIY absinthe and are 1 to 2 months old note: I specially love the last iteration(alum anod drip tips),the o-rings are noticeably tighter than the 1st iteration (plastic delrin)

Heh,I still have one of those clear tubed vizions that just plain refuse to die! (in fact,its right here with cola in it...let me try it.....oh yeah...yummy...where is my keyboard--flapping wings--ah,there it is) note: I kinda prefer the old vizions as they seem--I may be dreaming here--of better quality--there was no drama besides the fact that they cracked with inappropriate liquid in them--now they are made with no cracking plastic,the drama is on and seems to last!--might be just that more people discovered their awesomness...

Now ima go and fiddle with coil making..its a fun chore.

The new ones may not crack, but i've noticed that my Cherry coke liquid changes color in the new visions ... and give off a god awful taste after a while of sitting in there(not very long either ... like a day maybe). It's almost like the fluid is having some sort of chemical reaction to the plastic.

Anyways, i've decided that some liquids are better left vaped in metal tubing.

I think maybe a few of the visions in this batch may have had tubes that were a little long. If you take an exacto knife to them remove an equal band of about 3mm from the top of the tank. It will make all the difference if you are getting too much spittle in the tip. Also push down on the entire wick/atty assembly it'll come out the bottom thread a few mm replace the tip and you should be enjoying yourself again. If you lack the skills email Tom and he will look after it for you or walk you through cutting the tip of one of your fingers off.
