In the coming soon section of the site there are LT Mini's silver and red ones listed as coming soon. Just no Stainless Steel Mini LT's

Are they both SR & LR with the metal spike?

So far everyone checked so it is safe to assume they all are.

Ok so here is the finished product the amperage limit is only 3.0

What is the demand like? Anyone think it's going to be worth a 40% premium to the lavatube?

I dunno. The amp limit isn't quite as good as the EVO or ProVari v2 but still better than the LT so it could still push 1.5ohm duals to 4.5V, which is a little better. I don't care that it's a stacked arrangement with step-down as long as it has proper venting, and given its estimated price tag it could still be a big seller among those who want something approaching a ProVari but don't want to shell out roughly double the price for a full kit (assuming the estimated cost of the SMK one is for a full kit). It certainly looks sturdier and nicer than the LT. It's just a matter of quality, which is something you won't be able to empirically estimate 'til you've tried one for a length of time.

If we are talking $100 then I may get one.... But I will wait until all the rev 1 issues are worked out and/or flaws are discovered

I agree with the sony comment! I am also not a fan of Loong Totum atm but I am using the EVO constantly! I have multiple addictions and I can't help but want "Touch my Katamari" :)

Anyways. I liked the pretty pics of that smok that were posted earlier. This one looks bland and it needs some carbon fiber casing! I would try one out and my mind might change, but for the price of it new. I would get probably get another evo.
But first SS-LT!
It's decisions like buying a SS-LT when I have a black one that make me wonder if I wouldn't just order it when/if comes in anyways just to try it out.
If you stock it, it will be the cheapest... but if the price tag isn't reasonable to bring in for a v1, and the device ends up sucking, or causes you headaches. might be good to wait. Plus we can always go somewhere else to get it if we REALLY need it.
Less headaches for you means Tons more Mopar for us!

If that sucker was out a couple months back I'd have had a heck of a harder choice to make
and may have stayed in Canada and not gone to ProVariLand. Though reviews were 70% of
the reason I chose the PV and this has no/or few, reviews yet. I'll wait, for now.

This is the info I saw in a post elsewhere from a Smoktech sales person today:

Elaine Smoktech - 9:23 PM - Limited
Smoktech Variable Voltage VMax

Except Provari , VMax will be the best VV in the market with cool price. Device measurement :Diameter 21mm * length 110mm
Body material: Brass ( better electric conduction than stailess steel or Aluminum)
Built-in three digit display allows you to visually adjust your voltage
Output Voltage: adjustable from 3.0v~6.0v in 0.1 volt increments
Discharge voltage: 6v~8.4v
quiescent current: <100uA
Step-down regulator
VMax can handle 5Amps or even bigger current
Battery: 2 pcs IMR Nipple 600mah 18350 battery stacked In series. ( different chemistry and safer), it is kind of battery that better in high current draw modules, but safer than ICR or other li-on batteries !!
Available user setting :
Power adjust up
Power adjust down
Power on/off
battery Check
Atomizer ohm check
LED on / off

Awsome pushbutton ,no matter how you push it, never stuck!
With 10 seconds cutoff protection.

When I commented that I liked the first aesthetic that they showed better she replied:

Elaine Smoktech - Thanks for your comment.
The previous designs are also available as long as there is people like to buy it. According to the feedbacks from customers, most of them prefers this design.
Comparing with Provari and considering the good functions of our VMax, our sale price is very attractive.

I am in for one if it is the older carbon fiber like look but if it is the knock off Provari look I will just pass.

Of note in the post above is the line:

VMax can handle 5Amps or even bigger current

So many different numbers =)

When i saw the 3Amp limit in the earlier comments i pretty much gave up on this thing but know i have new hope :)......and i do not understand why people would like this new design better? It is like having a fake Gucci handbag, and i do not want a fake handbag, I want to either have the real thing or have something else. I would really prefer the first type of design much better than trying to look trendy with a fake provari, if that made any sense :D

SMOK should have called it "THE PRAVATUBE" or PRAVA for short - maybe even the LAV ARI
