D'OOOOOOH! I hope my EVO doesn't suffer when it gets here!

EDIT: MINDFIELD, back to batteries... The SVR website says they use protected batteries stacked. The picture when enlarged shows "Special Li-ion battery" on the shrink covering. I'm thinking those would be good replacements for the stockers. 2 Pack of PTC/CID Protected 16340 700mAh Batteries

These look like the same exact batteries that come with the EVO you will be getting. The protection they are talking about is the PTC/CID that is the same as what comes with the EVO stock batteries.

Here is some info I found for ya...

Thanks Eric, fantastic info... so ours don't have the CHIP! All that being taken into account, I will be using my microprocessor controlled programmable charger to recharge my batts. So at least I know that each time they come off the charger, they will have been properly monitored and optimally re-charged AND BALANCED!.

Charging at 1C they will be ready in an hour. I will rig up a charging harness that has taps out to the balance circuit of the charger so I can charge both at once just like my 6S1P Li-poly RC packs (45C!! 4500 mah)

Oh, right. I guess that means my EVO is a version two, since it has the on/off feature (though it takes 15 freakin' seconds to activate it). Could Adam have been sent the version 1s? Or are the version 2s failing too?

I asked if you could tell the diff between v1 and v2 on a different thread and was told that this on/off feature is present on both models....they told me that the v2 has some tint on the battery connection threading....I don't know how accurate that would be determining model though. And as far as I know the "on/off" feature is just a safety cut off in case you are firing it in your pocket, not actually a turn off cause you want to function. That being said my new EVO has a very clicky button, much more so than my first.

I do imagine it's probably a safety feature -- but it does actually turn the unit completely off, as you have to press it again for 15 seconds to turn it back on again.

You must have gotten a newer version if the button is clickier. Mine is clicky, but it's a soft click. They must have upgraded the switch assembly.

Getting colored Lavatube in just after I got mine a few weeks ago. You going to get some colored minis??

Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk

I waited & waited for a red one, then found out they were a limited addition, so I just got a black one instead, thinking I'd never get to have a red one :(

So ya, I second that. Colored minis? I'll take one is RED & one in SS.

Do you take bribes? Will whining help, I really don't want to have a full blown 2 year old temper tantrum. (So humiliating)
