That's why I used the words "approx" and "about". Have no knowledge on the Provari but I've done enough testing on the V1 and V1.5 LT to know those wattage numbers are pretty close.

Errol

Yeah I've done no testing on my 1.5 but it feels right. I'm glad there are folks like you who have the necessary equipment to do proper testing.

I'll tell you what. Just send me 1 of each and I will test them all! I will video them all and even make up nice charts and graphs. Heck, I'll even get my son to do stop-motion animations of them dancing with Mario and Luigi if it will make people happy!

Interesting offer. :)

Yep. Now to just find some suckers....I mean takers. Need to give my scope a workout. I am working on a new setup for testing too, Errol. The entire thing will set on the desktop and have a place to plug in the mod and the carto/atty, or have an option for a passthrough-type thing so you can still use it. I also picked up a pretty mice MM from Matco that will allow on-screen display and data logging. Not quite as nice as the Fluke, but that is a nice option.

BTW anyone heard from 2tone,,, never answered me when sent his $25 gift cert bout 2 weeks ago, usually calls me on the phone at least once a month,,,that hasn't happened either, just concerned, this is not like him to just stop contact, especially after winning my contest...

Thanks for the concern andrew, just lost my job and have been in kind of a slump. Nobody seems to be hiring 60 yr olds and it's really frustrating.
Anyway, I acknowleged the win in the contest thread. Thanks a million for the contest.
Just been a lurker and liker lately. Talk to you as soon as I don't have to look up to see down.:p
Glad to see biz is really taking off. Take care bro. :D

2tone, man... I am SO SO sorry. Exact same thing happened to my father a few years ago. He did just get a new job relatively recently (wasn't looking all that time, just got fed up and stopped for a bit) but he's been very happy in his new job for a year now. I promise... it can happen. I know its gotta be ridiculous bummer, though. Wishing you well.

The difference is how many watt a given APV can put out. The V1 LT is 2.5amp and approx 12watts. The V1.5 LT is 3amps = about 14.5watts. The latest Provari is 3.5amps = about 17watts and the Vmax is 5amps = about 24watts.

Watts will determine how much voltage you can apply to any given atomizer to get the vapor you want. A LR DC Carto require the most watts to meet your needs.

Tested my Ovale after my last post and it is indeed a 2.5amp unit like the V1 LT. The problem I was having that made me think it was less is that it kept cutting out which indicated to me that I was exceeding it's watts limit. Turns out I have a bad fire switch that has to be held down with much more pressure than I'm accustomed to, essentially a bad switch.

After checking it closer I now think it will meet your expectations.

Errol

Great to hear and thanks!
I'm not overly concerned about the Ovale-V8 being better than a LT or such, it's more about if it was as good, which it seems it's in the ballpark. Good enough for me. :)

Nice, I'm happy now that I helped instigate the convo about the comparison testing. A real bench comparison test would be a great tool for newbies and vets alike to be able to navigate though all this gear, plus doing so with solid information.

With my computer components, there are always specs to compare with and tons of reviews from owners. It seems the specs side of PV's are still a bit thin sometimes and it's hard to know upfront how they would perform. So many options and similar choices!

Man, that sucks 2tone, but here's wishing the best for ya....keep your head up.
A person with skills and experience is always a good bet AFAIC. :)

2tone, Turtle, hope you guys both get good jobs soon or find a way to use your skills to self-employ. It is rough in RL. Glad you posted, 2tone- hated wondering if you are okay. I completely changed my type of work 12 years ago and it turned out to be a very good thing- worked for peanuts for a long time, still don't make a ton, but I am so much happier doing a job that is more in synch with things that are important to me and for someone I like and respect. I wish you the best of luck!

I need some help deciding if i should buy a vmax or not. (Back story) I am using an Lt V1 right now and its working just fine. Im in a bit of a bind because i won $25 in the last contest and that whould drop the Vmax to like $78(with 2 extra batts) So my question is should i get a Vmax, is it worth it,? Im on the fence here, give me some feed back. Thank you for any advice

Karn, I think the question may be....do you need a Vmax? I have heard they are awesome IF you are using higher resistance (or dual coil) cartos/attys and like HV vaping. I ordered one, and it may actually be wasted on me due to the fact that I am pretty much a LV vaper. The juices I enjoy most do not hold up very well to HV. Even using a LT/Varistack/VV box with a 3.2 CE2 my juices don't seem to hold up too much above 4.2v (actually on my LT that setup does well at about 4.5).

I am not trying to convince you not to buy one; like I said they are reported to be a wonderful piece of equipment, I am just giving you something to think about. I may be way off base, but I will not know til I have one in my hands and spend some time with it.

CCV has tons of great stuff at awesome prices. Sweet carto deals, and the LT 2.0 is supposed to be in soon as well. And you can't beat their price on shipping.

I'm sure you will be happy with whatever you purchase.

Any idea when the LT V2 will be in?

Great question, saw in a different thread they would be here today.
Also I sent my recalled one back a week or so ago, and don't know if it was received yet, or what is going on with the replacement one.
Any help is appreciated. My name is Chris Zimmer, and can get order # for you too if that helps.
