Oh, so lost. I am working myself silly. Now we have another contest within a contest?! Okay, post #1, regular:
I lose my filter when I am tired. I never know what I will say. Since conversation is a large part of my job, this can be alarming. I bit my lip today just to stop the "are you seriously telling me you are upset this broke after 3 years of 16 hours a day of use, especially when you just finished saying you drop it on a regular basis?!".

Now my lip hurts- I bit too hard. Maybe I should have just said it and pleaded crazy!

I take a walk every morning that is 1 hour round trip. Some people think its so I can lose weight, but I end up walking to the nearest store (I live in the middle of no where - so yeah the closest store is that far away) and buy junk food which I eat on my way back home... Maybe that should make its way into a new years resolution or something.

I think that the government needs to relax a little

I am a little tired of them telling me what I can eat, drink or inhale... balance the budget, build roads, create jobs. Leave the personal choices to the person!

Each year around Thanksgiving we volunteer at the soup kitchen in our area. It extends thruout the the winter. Christmas Day is very special to us as we serve those who are in need. We buy t-shirts, socks, etc. for that occasion. Yes, these people are thankful for the warmth of the clothing and the food. Last year, we made bed mats out of recycled plastic grocery bags. What everyone does not understand, these are not drunks but real people...they have lost their job and are homeless. I used to have the wrong conception of them also until I met them face to face. Polite and hungry makes me want to help them more.

Christmas this year was special....my 5 grandsons are between 4-7, and it was a wild Christmas, mostly since 2 of them got Green Machines from us. They wanted to ride them in my house....lol...no way they are going to do spinouts on my wood flloors. It was probably the best Christmas ever. My mom who is 93 years old joined us. I have been ill, but not sick enough to bake my cookies and put the Pickles on the tree (our German tradition)....look it up. I also saved a Chicken Wishbone and a couple of Grandsons had a good time with that....making their wishes.

I am now retired. I was Graphics Artists and did a few CD covers for some of the Garage Bands (Black Cat Bone & Ducan Pryce were my regular clients) in the Seatte area. Now I just Draw, Paint and Computer Graphic Art at my leisure. My husband worked worked for Hewlett Packer in Information Systems and now he is retired, so we are enjoying the retired life, going to the Grandsons ballgames, etc.

We have a Cabin (800 square feet) 20 minutes from out home where we have 280 feet of lakefront on 2 1/2 wooded acres. I love to fish and work in the large garden we have planted there (although the deer like my garden also...lol). From May till September, I live at that old log cabin (50 years old)....I would never trade it for my 3400 square foot regular home. I guess you could call me weird. The Campfires we have are outstanding, and my Grandsons roast the marshmallows and make Samores (sp). Next year I am going to teach them how to cast for the fish. Just talked to my Grandson, Lance, today about that. I dabble in photography and am an hobbyist artist in watercolor and acrylics.

That's about it...my life in a nutshell!!!!!

I have been into DIYing my juices lately and am having fun coming up with concoctions.
