it does have a clear coat, it also has a base coat before the color to achieve the look. The headcap and endcap are the mirror finish, which is also the base coat. Jay pulled this off wonderfully!!!

Can anybody tell me what color blue that is on the GLV2 Jay is holding in the video? I'm guessing the Blue Ice explosion...
I've looked at all the GLV picture threads here and on GLV's site and they all vary so much depending on lighting and who took the pics. I know that is inherent in a metal flake but I just can't decide on a color

Not a problem. I just can't wait much longer for my GLV3 mini, I ordered on 8/26 and I was order #1347, matte black, no clear coat, top/bottom feed, dual charger and 2 batts, and today was a holiday so no shipping today and tomorrow makes 7 weeks without a cig
i'm thinking it's the blue purple flip flop. i have the blue ice explosion and it doesn't look like that

Ok, here it is. It looks blue here, but in different light, it's totally purple!!! It totally changes color on ya!!!
