Thank you for the additional explanation. I understand your dad did what your grandmother asked, but it still saddens me a lot. My father has asked me to do things for him when he passes away. I've said I'll do what he asked, and that gives him comfort. While I'm not going to explain what he asked for, I simply won't [can't] do it. I just wish those cats could have been given the opportunity to live out their lives, which for many cats can be much longer than 13 years.

No offense, but given some of us are cat lovers, this is one personal part of your loss I wish you hadn't shared with us.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss.
Sir Rod, you are a true gentleman! Given the fact you are not happy with part of my story and, once again, still offered your condolences, leads me to believe you are truly sincere in said condolences and I appreciate that. Thank you.

I am sorry I offended anyone. I like cats. I actually have lived with a few in my day. Not being a, "cat lover" per se, I guess I figured the fact my Grandmother wanted to be buried with her cats would be appreciated. They were mentioned in her obit.

I am going to defend my Grandmother's actions as not being selfish with additional info one last time and I will move on.

We tried talking her into giving them away to someone as we all knew people who would take them but she insisted they would get sick if moved to another location. She had two cats. Actually she had five but three of them died in the last couple of years. One of cancer and the others of old age. Ming Ming was a Siamese and Peanuts was a orange and white. Ming Ming was extremely shy and suffered from some kind of social anxiety. When company would come over, he would run upstairs, hide and not come out until company left. She was afraid he wouldn't be able to live anywhere else or with others. Ming Ming and Peanuts were best friends and were together since birth. She was afraid Peanuts would suffer to much losing both her and Ming Ming (and his home).

Again, I am sorry for offending any cat people with my ignorance.

This one's for Gin, to maybe bring a small smile to a face (or three).

Life is short. Embrace laughter.
