You can follow a member.

That would give you an alert when they post.

Great. I was getting a sneaking feeling that was true. I have a "fan club" that occasionally comes out of the woodwork to try and bait me when I post. Especially on a different forum that uses the same software.

I wonder if they would still get an alert if you had them officially on ignore?

You tell me. In the last format if you put someone on ignore you wouldn't see their posts, but they could see yours. That seems backwards to me.

Interested in a body guard?

And if they quoted you, you'd still get a notification.

On this new system, I believe that you won't even see their post show when someone quotes them.

Maybe a couple of you could test it out? I can't put anyone on ignore :(

But what if I don't want someone to see my posts? I don't care about theirs. Example: I post something and someone pops in makes a crack unrelated to the topic, but in reference to something they know I would know about, and then leaves. A drive-by. If they hadn't known I'd posted, they wouldn't have posted something directed at me. And don't tell me I should report them, that just ups the ante.

I don't know if ignoring a person stops them from being able to follow you. Hence my suggestion of trying it with somebody you know and trust. You should be able to un-ignore them after the experiment.

I wasn't going to suggest you report them. I know you don't report things (sometimes you should though ;) )

Please let me know if you do experiment with this. I'm super curious about the answer. Now I WANT you to do this ! LOL

Yes, I have an alert for the For Sale Forum. Anytime a new post is added to the Forums I am watching I get an alert. I changed it to just a popup notification and can't track it through my e-mail (too many forums and threads I watch). I scored a UTA that way - just happened to look at the right time.
Nice snag!

my wife got me a ti p3 for my birthday a month ago. it was a bit wonky in that it would drop the setting that would be a different color button press after eight hours. also if I tapped on a recall that wasn't programmed it would change all settings. fortunately after I programmed all of the recalls that went away in a week.

after that it seemed like it wasn't working quite right. it just wasn't right with my favorite kayfun. I thought I'd lost my kayfun mojo. it seems a bottle of my favorite juice wouldn't wick worth a darn. I opened up a new bottle and all is right with the world!
