A lot of that would depend on the mod maker/manufacturer standards and quality and programing of the chip, not just the theories. Sure, on paper, it's about the ohms --- but.
In theory, VW should be the most consistent as a quality chip checks the ohm's of the coil frequently and accurately to insure it is delivering the stated wattage amount. However, the original ProVari VV technology is so smooth, most would not be able to tell the difference, not like some other "brands" and "non brands" which even I can tell easily are not performing as advertised.
Personally, I've used both VV & VW on my P3 and don't notice any difference. YMMV and some may still insist one is better than the other. I've used both VV and VW for so long, it is no hassle for me to continue to use both methods. It's all about the lovely consistent vape --- and turning it up or down as I desire.
