Yep, the pure breeds don't come cheap. But the Burmese breed is so unique. Actually dog like. They are beyond people oriented. Our Burmese was a shoulder kitty, which is very common to the breed. She'd either be on my shoulder, or Charlie's shoulder from the moment we got home, till bedtime. Then she slept under the covers right next to us. They come when called just like a dog. They're $1,000/kitten. But the joy and love they give over the years is more than worthy of the price of admission.

My Plasma tank is now sitting in my mailbox waiting for me to get home. This might be an amazing day all the around!
Yeah, the ragdoll is the same way. Not even a hint of fear from humans. They'll walk up to anyone or lay on them looking for scratches. And she's not happy unless she sleeps next to me every night. She'd sleep on me if I let her. I can barely tolerate her next to me but its the best I can expect. You know how cats have a way of getting what they want. Right Oce?

Clearly there is something kinder in your soul than you imagined. Cats can tell who's nice and who isn't. Yes they can!
Oh, I don't abuse her physically. I never hurt animals (heck, I catch and release snakes that get in the garage instead of killing them like most people) But it's a good thing for them they don't understand English. :)

I simply could not imagine you ever hurting an animal. Me just thinks you're more a softy than you do!

Today is gonna cost me a LOT OF $$$$. As you may recall, we had to put our beloved Burmese Cat, Sakai down a few weeks ago. We really really miss her. Burmese kittens are not easy to find, especially ones close to us. We finally found a pair of Burmese Kitten Sisters nearby and Charlie is on his way to go see them as I type this. One is Blue Point. One is Champagne Point. They are outrageously expensive, but the breeder has other buyers waiting, so if Charlie likes them (duh, like he wouldn't fall instantly in love with Burmese Kittens), he'll be giving the breeder a check to hold them for us and they'll be ready to come live with us at the end of the month. If he puts a deposit on them, he'll take pics and I'll post them tonight!
We had Burmese sisters, both Blue Point. One was always impeccably groomed; the other looked like an unmade bed no matter how much she was brushed. I loved them both ('tho unmade bed was my favorite) and miss them. Not remotely possible that Charlie won't be smitten! Can't wait to see the pix.

I just looked up ragdoll prices about a year ago and can't believe what they cost. Anywhere from $500 to $10,000. For a cat!!!

I'm going to catch hell but you can buy The Ocelot for less money. You will also need a goat.

The Burmese breed is so wonderful! I'm glad you got to be loved by some too!

No offense, but I want to be loved by my kitty's, not eaten by them! And the Goat thing? Well that's just a deal breaker, for sure! LOL

I'm a softy when it comes to animals. I admit it. Don't much care for animal abusers.

Animal abusers are the lowest of low life, yes they are......:grr:

You own them now!

Yes I do! But it's going to be hard waiting till June 26th as that's the day we'll be able to bring them home. Yes it is!

Is that because they still need their mommy?

Yes, they still need their mommy. Burmese are a very small breed of cat. Our's at adulthood, full grown only weighed 5 pounds. The kittens are only 8 weeks old and can't be adopted until they are a full 3 months old.
