I know we've been through this a hundred times and I ignored it a hundred times so I need to ask again. I have an old P2. In 18490 mode, I am leaning toward thinking the spring is making poor contact and is the reason why I get intermittent connection issues (seeing I'm not having trouble with my extended endcap in 18650 mode). I've stretched the damn spring a million times and it works for a bit before wigging out again. So it probably needs a new spring. That said, I'm thinking of just replacing the 18490 endcap altogether to the larger spring. Is there a P2 endcap that has the larger spring or can I use the P3 endcap or the Provarinati endcap that uses the larger spring? What are my options for my old P2 standard endcap?

ProVape sells a ProVarinati end cap for the v2.5 and P3 - not sure what the differences or requirements are, other than obviously one uses a smaller spring and one uses a larger spring. I just tried my P3 ProVarinati end cap on the v2.5 with an AW 18490 and it fits fine and is not difficult to put on - nothing seemed unusual (not hard to compress the spring on the battery, no resistance on the threading, etc.).

I believe I read that the P3 endcap can damage the chip in the older model ProVari's.

I see Provape offers one for the P2.5 and the P3 separately and they point out that one wont work on the other but I thought I heard that was debunked. I was going to try my P3 endcap on my P2 but the P2 went across the street for the moment. I'm not surprised you made your P3 cap work on your P2.5. Thanks for trying for me. I don't want to order just a P2 replacement spring for only a few bucks. if I'm going to order from Provape I'll just get a new endcap that has the larger spring (if I have that option) and/or get the Provarinati version. BTW, I am assuming the P2.5 endcap also works on the P2. My understanding the only difference between the 2 and 2.5 is cosmetic in nature.

Doesn't Provape sell replacement springs for the old Provaris?

Yes. They cost 95 cents. If I'm going to sink loot into shipping costs I'll get another endcap that I like better (one with a larger spring and/or the Provarinati version). And I'll toss in for a couple P2 and P3 springs too just because.

I'm glad I asked the question. Thanks for your input. I'll stayed tuned. Maybe 360 will chime in and I can get it straight from the horses mouth.
I read somewhere that the p3 spring puts too much pressure on the old boards and can break the boards contact. I'll try and find it

Provape still has a warning on their website not to use the P3 end cap on the 2.0 or 2.5.

I think the 2.0 and 2.5 circuit board is held in by two drops of glue that the stronger spring may force loose.
Where the P3 circuit board is held in without the use of glue and is stronger.

But this made me think,

Did you check that maybe it's not the spring and your board did move/slide up a little?

The extended endcap seems to work fine. My P2 still has the original spring and I see it is made from a thinner gauge wire than the spring on my P3. I'm thinking the P2 replacement springs are a little beefier too. This original spring is rather cheesy.

Yeah, I'm getting a feel for that, Peter O'Sea. 24 hours with the thing and I'm seriously considering a 2nd.

Of course, we'd go with black o-rings if so, because I'm nothing if not fashionable.

I saw your photo of the blue o-rings and blue tip~! Lovely, where did you get the color choices? I bought mine from ProVape (P3 type), and in 18350 mode it's just perfect in my book. I love 'delrin' tips, and would love to buy a few in different colors.

@Pinggolfer I know how you got your name now.... Hubby just bought a new set of Ping golf clubs and bag. As we were in the golf store, I couldn't help but think of you almost the whole time  I saw Ping Everywhere!

It's the first set that he actually is having ordered to fit his swing and height. Happy birthday and Merry Christmas to him! Early presents for him. :D

I use a Tatroe Wide base endcap for the 2.5 on my P3 as I can't find a P3 version anywhere (see this Tatroe ProVari Wide End Cap for "P3"? | E-Cigarette Forum). I can tell you it works (sorta). But I do agree that using a P3 spring on a P2.0 or P2.5 is a bad idea for fear that the glued-in board may not handle the stronger spring well.

Did he buy the G30 Irons? I have 3 sets of Ping Irons and I won't sell any of them. One of the best features with Ping is they will custom fit the right clubs for you. I remember being fit for my first set, the club pro took me first to the driving range to fit me, then after the clubs arrived he took me out on the course to hit different shots making sure they were right. I have used Callaway drivers and this year I went out and bought the G30 driver and it's by far the best driver I've ever owned.

Yes folks...Robin lives in Florida and doesn't golf

Oh no... You live in FL and don't play golf?? Shame on you Robin. :)

Willie should have a zillion of them.

Not a clue.... They had the 'Driving range' in the store. He hit a lot of golf balls today. I sat on the floor watching

I can't hit a golf ball for crap. I keep whiffing over the top of it.
