Shinola: Where watches are assembled with bits and pieces, NOT made in America. I'm not into quartz. And they don't have any mechanical movement watches, yet. If you're interested in a true American Watch Maker, look no further than RGM. One of the best watchmaker's on the planet, who has set up shop in Lancaster, PA (where American watchmaking was once the reigning king - but is sadly no more).

I don't know a thing about watches except the next one I buy will be MADE IN U.S.A. My jeweler said the same thing, Shinola are assembled here from Swiss parts, if I want American made, come see him. I will!

My Grandfather would buy watches from China-Mart for $5 (probably @ $10 by now), when it would quit working, throw it out and buy another one!

Someday, I WILL have a RGM. He's just about the only true American Watchmaker in America. His watches are simply amazing! My watches are all either Swiss Made, German Made and of course the Grand Seiko is Japanese made, but in an entirely different league than mall Seiko's. There is a special 60 person team in the Jura Mountains of Japan, who hand make every single component that goes into a Grand Seiko. Every single part. From the case to the movements, balance spring, gears, pins, column wheels. Every single thing is hand made by these artisans.
