Soooo I went to cedar point Tuesday/Wednesday. We spent Tuesday playing mini golf, go karts and bumper boats and then hung out by the pool and had a couple drinks before dinner. After I had a drink I decided I would cool off and go for a quick dip in the pool. Sure enough, I jump in and immediately feel that my p3 was still in my pocket. I pulled it out within a second and just had a pit in my stomach. I opened it up, took out the battery and let it sit for the rest of the night until we got back from dinner. After dinner I put a battery in it and it fired perfectly. I just thought I would share with everyone that my p3 went for a swim with me and didn't even hiccup.

Thanks provape for an outstanding product that is durable and reliable.

Actually, just letting a good mechanical movements sit idle for long periods of time, is not only not serving any good purpose, but could be harmful. The oils dry out in movements when not being run. If they've sat a long period of time without running, you might want to have them serviced. BTW., a AP Royal Oak is a significant chunk of watch, that costs a significant chunk of money. If it's not accurate, it likely just needs to be serviced and adjusted. Feel free to give it to me and I'll make sure it gets the love it deserves! Yes I will!!

Aw, really? And all this time, I thought I had you guys fooled. Silly me!
I have an Omega that was the predecessor to the Apollo version. Early 60's w/a Pegasus engraved on the back.
Had my wife take it to the Dealer and they wanted $600.00 for a tune-up!
Bought an Apple Watch. I bet that turns your stomach. ;-}

If the Omega hadn't been serviced in many years, I'm surprised the cost wasn't higher. Mechanical watches should be serviced about every 5 years and when they are, the servicing costs aren't too bad. When they go much longer, it's like not servicing a car engine for years and then being upset because it costs a lot to service. Trust me though, that Omega is worth far more than cost of service. I'd also suggest at this point, not taking it to an Omega shop. There are likely some very reputable watch service centers in your town who will service it for a lot less. You really only need to use an Authorized Service center while the watch is still under warranty.

And no, it doesn't turn my stomach at all to hear you got an Apple Watch. Sir Rod, will get one too. But likely 2nd generation, as I read an article very recently that the 2nd generation Apple Watch will also include a facetime camera.

Thanks guys. I didn't mean to appear rude or unappreciative by not responding. Apologies for a somewhat distracted evening. I'll be back tomorrow to catch up what I'm sure was at least SOME fun (WELCOME BACK, PINGSTER!).

Until then, I wish you all a truly wonderful evening.

Well, I am absolutely loving the P3. So much so that I now have an irresistible calling to obtain a Ti version. My right shoulder is a mess, and some days the weight of the steel ProVari tubes raises aich-ee-double hockey sticks with my shoulder.
