If anyone needs me, I'll be in the kitchen, um, making me a PB&J sandwich. For some reason, I have this overwhelming craving for one. Odd, huh?
Ohheck...look at this...
Inside is pure amazing. It is peanut butter, bananas, and marshmallow fluff sandwiched between two slices of brioche. Even un-fried this dessert would be amazingly rich, but the deep fried panko crust is genius. The slightly salty crunchy exterior actually helps cut through the sweetness and stops this sandwich from being cloying. It also gives the sandwich some texture and structural support, so it avoids the gumminess so often found in this childhood favorite.
