NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wimp.

I used to eat raw steak as a kid. I think I may have stopped because it freaked out my step-dad, I don't remember. I wouldn't be surprised though, since he tried to forbid me to drink whole milk. Wrong. I'm a whole milk or nothing girl - none of that blue crap for me. I think we must have reached an agreement, since after the age of 11 or so I drank whole milk, but didn't eat raw steak. FYI: I eat what I like now. I still drink at least a gallon of whole milk a week and love steak tartare.

I like my steak wrapped in bacon :)

Sent via iPhone

I eat dinner with my step-dad at a buffet every Friday. There is a bacon wrapped filet on the menu, but it doesn't do anything for me. It sounds heavenly, but there's something wrong. I think the bacon is too sweet or something and messes with the flavor. The bacon on the bacon wrapped pork kabobs is too sweet to. I am annoyed.

Tonight I had a bit of crab legs, oysters on the half shell, salmon with dill sauce, rib-eye-steak, a little ceviche tostado and veggies. (We're talking small bits.) If I could figure out a way to have the bacon wrapped filet next week without having to kill the sweet taste with salt, I would.

Now THAT sounds tasty (but hold the tartare, please).

Have you ever tried a mouse or two on the side? One of my cats used to love those little suckers.

Mouse or mousse? Neither for me, thank you. Sera (my kitty) catches mice (although rarely eats them) and while there was mousse available for desert, I'm not much of a sweets person. I'd rather have more oysters. Years ago the love of my life and I used to go to a local bar and have oysters on the half shell and martinis. It was a bliss I will always remember.

Did that dayum goat eat your sense of humor?

I was KIDDING!

Blissful memories are good (and I'm NOT kidding). :)

Yeah? So? And? Sorry I wasn't as funny back, I hope you don't think of me as Debbie Downer. I blame the Sauvignon blanc for not being as quick as usual.

Morgen, R and to everyone else good morning!

TO, I grew up eating steak tartare. I must be an ocelot! I remember you posting about the weekly dinner with your step dad. I remember thinking it was such a nice thing you did and I'm betting it means the world to him. Plus, the food you get sounds so yummy!

Today is a family day. My brother and SIL have moved here permanently, effective this week. One of my first cousins (who I adore) and her husband (who I don't adore - he makes Debbie Downer seem like fun) will be here today. We're supposed to spend the entire day evening together.

I won't likely have the opportunity to check in again until tonight.

Have a great Saturday all!

I just learned a new word. I have learned a few lately and think I should start posting them here as they come up. Not that I think anyone cares, but this give me a good place to store them when I want to look back.

Cards Against Humanity sounds like a good plan to me.
