Your P3 is broked and could be dangerous. Send it to me for proper disposal. ;)

Is the battery "new" or used but freshly charged? Did you check the IQ?

You wait for it!!! :sneaky:

Used but freshly charged. IQ is 97.

The IQ on mine is currently 97, but I don't pay attention to it anyway. I've read that if the IQ is poor the P3 won't fire at higher watts, but since I vape around 9-13w it doesn't make any difference. I sometimes get poor IQ, but if I unscrew the end cap, then screw it back on it goes to good.

The battery level on my P3 has always been wonky, even with brand new batteries. Try cleaning the contacts and messing with the spring (sometimes twisting or pushing works as well as pulling) to see if that changes the reading.

ETA: I just put in a fresh battery and it read 78%. I wiped off the contact with an eraser (the cat is on my lap and it would annoy her if I tried to reach the bottle of isopro), wiped the ends of the battery, then pulled and twisted the spring a little. It now reads 86%.
I ended up just removing that battery for another one.
The P3 in '350 mode is no fun!
I'm going thru batteries faster than it would take me to drink a cup of coffee....& I'm addicted to my coffee!! :headbang:
I'm not crazy about it in '650 mode. Feels like I'm holding a baton.
My new '490's should be here tomorrow. :headbang:

I've seen my IQ poor but I'm learning not to pay it no mind.
What's it's purpose anyway?

I like the P3 in '490 size.

ProVape invented the IQ feature in case you start craving tobacco. It's designed to distract you and make you obsess over something else.

Ok....I'm having a crisis here....P3 ring stuck like glue to my tank. Cant get it off for nothing in the world. Even the freezer trick didn't help. HELP!!!
Put it all back on the mod.

Tighten it up as much as you can.

Now try to remove it.

More details please. Is it off the P3? Is the tank a 510? (If yes) are both the P3 510 ring and the outside beauty ring stuck? I need to be able to visualize what's going on.

I've seen this and checked the voltage on my 350's. Sometimes it's the charger! They don't put a lot of pressure on the contacts of the charger so at times my chargers will cut out early without bringing them all the way to 4.2V. Nowadays I use a slug inline when charging them to put extra pressure on the charge terminals. ( a ball of tinfoil under the negative terminal works wonders. )

Try checking them with a voltage meter. Which BTW, would be a very useful bit of info to have on any high end vaping device LOL.

You said the freezer didn't work, so I imagine a dime didn't either. Things to try: hot water, then dime; perhaps DW40 around the edges? I keep coming back to using a dime since it's too small to get a good grip. I had a Kabuki frozen onto a Radius and tried everything above (except a dime, since it was the whole tank), without success. Finally, in frustration, I held it sideways and banged along bottom edge with needle nosed pliers. Anything about that size would do. I hit it gently-ish, with a towel in-between. I was trying to approximate banging a lid of a jar on a counter to get it loose. It was likely a combination of all of them, but it came off after I banged it.

That's just it... When I removed them from the charger they were reading 4.2 but not the same in the P3.

Did you try a coin? maybe you can wrap a rubber band around it to get a grip on it. At least your beauty ring isn't involved.

I'm feeding my mom right now. As soon as I'm done I'll try the dime & banging.

Being a nice person like that.... bet it comes off first try. :)
My mom has Alzheimers- can feed herself but if I'm not with her, food will be everywhere.

No damage was done to in the removal of the ring.

I was so sorry to read this. Insidious disease, that one.

Like you and too many others, I lived through it once. Again, I'm sorry too. [emoji20]

I have an almost constant battery issue with my P3, though it is more pronounced in the 18490s than the 18650. I've had it since day 1. 18490 batteries were new, direct from Provape, and the BEST I have ever seen off the charger is 82%. It's normally under 78%. IQ is almost always Poor, which prevents me from using my subtank on my P3 unless I drop a 1.3 ohm coil in it. I can get half a work day off an 18490 before it's flashing low battery, yet when I drop it in the charger, charger says it's got 40% or better left. *sigh*

I have cleaned, and cleaned, and cleaned some more. I have lubed. I have stretched. I have twisted. I have begged, borrowed, pleaded, and made offerings to the gods. I have met with zero success.

Now, I think I'm going to try different batteries. The ones I have now are the red, button top 18490s from Provape. And a random 18650, not from Provape (which usually starts around 78%, but will last the work day most days).

So what do all you P3 users have success with battery wise? Ideally, an 18490 would at least get me though a work day, even if I had to swap for another one once I got home. An 18650 I would like to last a weekend day, I could charge it overnight. I'd love to be able to use my P3 at 15-20 watts (this has been impossible so far). I hear people say Samsung/LG, 30 amp, 3000mAh.

I admit, I am not very battery savvy. I know to buy good ones, but I don't know what makes one better than the other. Suggestions?
