Richmond as in Richmond, VA? If so, what shop? My stable needs updating, and the MD shop I went to last isn't doing it anymore.
RVA Vapes South

I would call first, to make sure which location it is at.

I got to handle the updater too!!!

Oh God... same thing happened to me a few weeks ago with my brand new, never vaped atomizer. I tried all the tricks. My best suggestion is if you have a grippy (?) cloth or piece of rubber like a thick rubberband that will protect your finish try using some vise grips after you wrap the cloth or rubberband around the beauty ring. Be careful! I mangled the hell out of my 510 connection. If that don't work, open a ticket because Provape can probably help you out. They offered that help to me and I sent it off.

Here's where I screwed up. Because it was very light and just the bottom piece of the atty without the build deck I wrapped in bubble wrap and put it in an envelope. Three days later, Provape emailed me and told me a ripped open and empty envelope arrived - no atty! $100 paper weight is now what I own. Lesson learned: use a box.
I got it off. Posted a pic of it somewhere in these threads. Not a mark on the ring or the atty.

I mail everything in boxes especially small stuff cause it's too easy for it to get lost in transit.

Stop braggin'. ;)

Is there really a physical updater? I thought the updates were done via dark magic. When I go to my local shop to get an update done on a P3, my guy takes the P3, looks around, runs in the back out of sight and a few minutes later returns with said P3 fully updated.

Maybe ProVape will put the updater on Special Sale -- for $29.95. Now, wouldn't that be a nice treat.
Don't hold your breath, I'm sure they don't charge the vendors much more than cost. JMG

Too Funny!!!

I am very observant, and ready to dive in to save My Provi from a drop. Behind the Scenes Action, Not Allowed!!!

I will say, it is as I thought... Not done thru an electrical connection though.

I whole heartily agree...

I was told the price paid was about 200 bucks.

And, after fondling it, I think it cost every bit of that.

Thanks, Jim!
One other thing...

They do charge 15 bucks for the update.

The young man at that location is a Provi User himself, and was not going to charge me a thing.

I insisted because I had spoken to the store owner at the other location earlier.

Thanks! Ya, I figure more batteries can never hurt ya know? lol

Even if I get the update, and it doesn't fix the battery issue, I can't say I won't be happy about the fix of the memory loss when switching batteries! I don't even set preferences anymore, they just get wiped out 2 or 3 times a day! lmao

So you're saying that you lose your settings when you change batteries? If so then there's a problem, I had a Provari 2015 Classic that had the same thing happening with it. Contacted Provape and they had me send it in and they sent me a new one. So I'd suggest opening a ticket with Provape and let them get things sorted out for you.

Help.... Sorry if I've not messaged in the correct way but couldn't find a way to start a new thread, I hope this is the correct place for my request.

My P3 has developed a fault, it was working fine but yesterday it stopped. The button flashes red, on the display it reads 3.4 watts, 0.0v, under the ohm sign 0.0. If I press the button the 0.0v changes to empty.

When I insert a battery and screw down the end cap the Provape message shows and the button cycles through the colour range. All batteries are fully charged, I have 2 end caps which I have cleaned with ISO plus threads, I have also clean the internal connector. So all clean. I've tested the end caps on my other Provari and the batteries and they work fine on the other device.

Although the display reads empty I can still scroll through the menu system but it reverts to the wattage value, 00.v, under ohm 0.0 after pressing button the empty notice comes up.

I'm at my wits end on how to resolve this, noneof the listed error codes in the manual are displayed? I've emailed Provape but thought somebody may have come across this before.

Cheers.

Is this with topper or without?

If with, try another.

If without, try with one.

Keep us posted.

Thanks Jim, I've tried with on and off no differance. I have 2 Kabuki tanks which both work. Wish I was in the USA as its not easy to get things sorted in the UK with posting back to Provape.

I looked through the threads but could only find one other problem like mine. Oddly from a UK user back in 2014. They had to send back to Provape as it seemed to be a system board problem. Cheers. Sean

Sounds like you need to purchase a new device so you have something to vape with when you send the faulty one in repair.

Good luck!

By luck I got a secondhand Provari mini a couple of months ago and a Kanger Emow Mega.

Nothing like using the Kabuki in terms of flavour and it leaks...

I have the P3 adaptor for the Kabuki but it will not work on the mini?

I persuade a friend to buy a P3 after I got one and tested both Kabuki's on his P3 since mine packed up yesterday and they work so no problem with the tanks or coils.

Thanks again. Sean
