And you can't let them steep for your customary six months either Dust!
Anyone have an ultrasonic cleaner I can borrow?!

I'd be interested in your results on that if you do try it canned.
Sucks about the mailman though. Sorry about that.
I may give it a go with part of what you just sent me... I'll need a control group though. I'll fill 2 5 mil bottles for each flavor... sonically smash one set and regular steep the others (daily shake in a dark cupboard) then, drip and see what happens.
Interesting... ./beardstroke

Really all you would have to do (I think) is to blast one half and try the fresh flavor back-to-back with the US blasted version. If it feels different enough (but good), then you will have reached steep. Or, the other harder way would be to US one and then have another bottle steeped for a period of time (How much? don't know). Otherwise your US steeped version will continually steep along side the other.
I think I read you correctly with what you were going to do. If not, my bad.
You read it right
My ultrasonic cleaner has a 5 minute cycle. I should be able to test enough between blasting to see if the impact is noticeable.
We'll see what happens![]()
I think, THINK, that works by oxidizing the juice from a constant flow of tiny bubbles, and oxidation is thought to be the main thing going on with steeping. The juice does darken during the ultra-sonic process, which is the result of oxidation. Someone theorized blowing air through the juice, like with an empty needle for a bit, does a similar thing.

I have heard, ahem, about someone using UV light for designated periods (per liquid) to steep.
Wonder what that does to the liquid. I don't think it would be oxidation, but really I know as little about oxidation as I do about why juices change with time.
Time.. my prefered steeping method of choice. Good old reliable, all-natural, time. Such as, this tastes good, time to vape it.

I don't know what it does, but seeing as how long-term storage should be in a cool, DARK, place, maybe light does something as well. Personally, time feels right. I don't bother with doing anything special anymore, just good ole time. I do open the bottles and shake them, but it's juice, man. What else ya' gonna do? Shake, shake, shake...

I have a pretty good small industrial ultrasonic cleaner I use for my DIY stuff. I don't know why I've never tried it with purchased juice.
The thing that proved the effectiveness of ultrasonic cleaner to me was that my Tobacco Absolute mixes stay in solution seemingly permanently now. No more green ring...I thought that was impossible. It takes 2 to 4 hours for the complete treatment, and glass bottles are supposed to work faster than plastic.
There's a whole thread about ultrasonic cleaners and steeping here:

I glanced at that thread. Looks like heat is involved too, and molecular bonding and..... hmmmm where's my box of time at.
