I received my samples yesterday, requested 6mg 100% VG. I did not smell anything either, was a little concerned I blew it with 100% vg, but I know these have to steep. Anyway I could not resist so I dripped some of the cherry into a basic 510 atty. Oh my! This is going to be some great stuff here! Steep away my precious little bottles! shake shake shake!

Indeed. These could age to be "The Best NET" that everyone comes to agree with. It's not too bold and approachable for someone that smokes. I think he freaking nailed it! These may be the best NETs I've vaped. And I don't even know the guy nor hear of him, so I'm not biased at all.

I honestly think NETs will just get better and better at an exponential rate just like every other successful idea. Look at 3D Printing. I'm buying one tomorrow for my business.

Sorry for the off topic.

Well, today has been a long week (yes, I mean week, not day) so, I haven't pulled the trigger on sonically beating the crap out of my samples. I will tomorrow.

But, I did taste them. Keep in mind that these are still tight and unsteeped so, flavors will likely change, my impressions may not match yours, and im tired :D

Vanilla - Nice real vanilla (no hint of store bought vanilla extract which you can taste in some juices), a bit of cream, very slightly sweet. Even with needing steeping, its pretty well balanced. mellow tobacco but, I can taste it in there... am getting a bit of spice. tastes like there is some of the turkish in there with some other top notes

Turkish - smooth. very mild. Not creamy like some other vendor's turkish (the "creamy", to me, is off-putting and mutes other flavors). slightly roasty on exhale with a bit of spice at the peak. very slightly sweet but, naturally so.

Cherry - This tastes like a black cherry to me. slightly sweet but, only what you would expect from fruit. tastes like the same base as the vanilla... Im getting almost a blend of the turkish with a bit of virginian in there for the notes. slightly spicy as well.

Fire Cured -
Peaty, earthy, with a bit of smoke and roasted notes. I also pick up a bit of wood but, its very faint at the moment. I get a bit of spice on the top notes. Balanced well with no flavor overpowering the others.

For those that have not read my crappy ramblings before - I tend to shy away from my personal impressions of the juice and talk flavors I'm getting. That has always seemed to me to be the most valuable part of any review I've read. its great that you love the juice and its the best thing in the world but, without telling me what it tastes like, you loving it won't have an impact on my decision making process. :)

So... please don't be offended if I don't call out favorites :)

Now... to come up with names... which I should probably do tomorrow because tonight, I'd end up with "yep, that's cherry... and tobacco... and they are mixed" as the BEST name EVAR. I'm fairly sure I can do better :)

Welp. looks like I killed the thread.

I'm happy to remove tasting notes if folks would rather not have it out there... or if they disagree on the flavors. I don't want to 'pollute' the thread if this isnt the right spot for it. (I could easily move it to where my other semi-coherent ramblings are... the Natural Tobacco thread :) )

I like your tasting notes, I can already tell (although I will keep an open mind) which two I'll probably like and which two I might not. :)

I gotta say you guys are impatient though. ;)

patience was never my strong suit.

Really though, I enjoy seeing how juices change.

I know there's been talk throughout the forum that this (general this - not specific to any brand or flavor) is juice, not scotch or wine. But, to me anyway, its similar because the flavors change when they open up. True, the processes are different but, they are similar to me anyway. I get the joy of tasting the same thing over and over and really seeing how it matures :)

besides - how can I tell if spending an hour or two with my ultrasonic tonight will have any impact :D

Opened a can of worms there Joe. I can right a novella just on first impressions lol.

I have lot's of patience with new juices. I have a bunch of new juices I'm excited to try, just sitting untouched in my steeping box. Not so much to let them age, I just like spreading out new juices to keep things interesting. I used to buy a bunch of juice and try them right away, and then not needing to buy for months and not having anything new to vape, which sucked.

Plan on starting the contest samples Monday, and will post my impressions here and on the NT thread. I'm not much of a creative type, so not expecting to win the naming contest with any, but will still have fun with it. My idea of naming something is to squish the names together. For example, Organic Vanilla Pipe became OrgVanPipe.. BAM. Frankenjuices I combine words from each juice. Red Pirate and Sweet Swish.. Pirate Swish. Devil Dog and Chocolate Cream.. Chocolate Dog (kind of proud of that one). Done and done.

It's cool to have patience with juices. Some people even wait over 6 months to let a juice get better--now that's patience and a willingness to like a flavor. I've done it too. It's always cool to leave space for the development of flavors. Though, we should also understand that some people dislike everything a particular vendor makes, and we ought not question the sincerity of the taster. That said, any juice maker that I have sampled an entire line from always has something I can dig right off the bat.

That's because you like everything. Quit rubbing it in. I can't take the jealousy! :)

I kind of like the tasting notes here.

Guys and gals (?), if you haven't tried your samples yet, do yourself a favor and just drip a few drops. You'll be amazed at how mature this liquid tastes.

Joe, these are fresh, correct?

For me it's not to do with patience. I like to taste juice when I first get it, then every 4 or so days to see how it changes. I could wait, but I find the aging process rather incredible and part of my 'vaping ritual'. I'm bet you had a ritual, maybe even a tiny one you didn't notice/don't remember, when you smoked.

I'm super curious about this. Please share your findings.

With the above: Who cares if it's wine/scotch/bourbon? You enjoy it and you see direct results. I, too, do this. With E-juice, bourbon and plants.

Oh I'll sample them all a little at a time over several weeks, I just rarely vape any juice that's not a week or so old.

Me too. When I start vaping a bottle, it's vaped over a long period of time. I consider a juice good to go "fresh" if it's fine at 2 weeks or sooner, but rarely get to a new juice that soon. How it is brand spanking new isn't really much interest to me.
