It uses a Kanger Aerotank base and Kanger coils. The dripper portion threads on where the tank would normally be. I can't stand Aerotanks/Protanks or clearomizers, but this is actually not bad in a dripper format. I wish the aesthetics were a little different, but overall I'm pretty pleased with it.
What posessed you?

I kinda like the looks, its almost as odd as the Fatty V2, sort of 1950's sci-fi........Very interesting, for 16.00 seems right up my alley...... thanks for sharing that :)

It seemed like a cool idea, and something I hadn't seen before. I like it when people try different things, and the price was cheap enough that I figured I'd give it a shot. If it was something produced by Kanger I probably wouldn't have bothered.

Not sure if I'll use it a lot, but so far I'm enjoying it. My only complaint is that the coils that I bought were 1.8 ohms, which are a little wimpy at 3.7 volts. They're working really nicely at about 12 watts with a kick2 in a kiklet, however.

I've heard you can rebuild your own coils for the aerotank/protank, so I may try that a little later if it's not too much of a pain in the .....

I like that too. It shows people ingenuity and ability to "think" and improve. I hear the Kanger Protank is easy to rebuild and is amazing with cotton and a micro coil

Rebuilding kanger heads is not difficult at all. It's actually the first thing I learned to build before going to dedicated rebuildables. There are some easy to follow tutorials on YouTube. (I'm on my phone so I apologize for not linking) just be sure to check restances once you assemble the atty, as it is pretty easy to leave a leg too long and short them.

I love my simplicity. I was lucky enough to pick up a 350 tube and a 650 tube for it, but I mostly use it in 500. The 350 version feels too small for my hands most of the time.

While the simplicity is nice, you're in for a treat with the ELA, it's on a whole other level.

I like the ribbed finish. Wish the ELA was offered in that finish.
