Yesterday I got my A1400 (for $10 more I "upgraded" to the most recent model which probably only differs by one digit on the packaging) in the mail. It's small and lightweight, and VERY simple to use.

I've only taken a few pictures but the results are very good! I put in some batteries, an SD card and started shooting with whatever Auto settings came out of the box. I had no intention of composition or anything but these test shots made me very happy. Today I'll investigate the results when more human control is taken. So far I think it was a super value. My only complaint is it feels fairly cheesy and I don't know how things like the doors and such will hold up, but it was cheap.

ShockWaves are NOT cheesy.

That little Canon is an amazing digital. My dad has the original one that came out a few years ago and its still sells for the same price if not more than when it came out. Photo enthusiast love for on the go , quick no fuss photos. It has a lot of features ( or at least it did) such as being able to use it manually if wanted.

I like it a lot but have much to learn. I took a bunch of shots yesterday but they reeked, not because of the camera but because of me. I have absolutely zero compositional talent. I'll get there - I certainly don't have unworthy subject matter. If I can get the right shot it'll be awesome.

So were you as surprised by the different between the 16340 and 18350? I was. The weight difference and size difference really isn't nearly as noticeable in the pictures.

I was. The 18350 was my "first" so I don't think I'll ever get rid of it, but the P+16 may become my "I'm going out" PV. Also, your Dingo is a perfect match to the kayfun. :)
