Thank you , I just love the texture of the ELA. I was on facebook and there is a refinishing person and Im going to send both my Odysseus to match the ELAs. THere was a photo of a mirror polished ELA. Though it looks amazing, I think it just becomes a fingerprint and scuff magnet.

Mine are going to get USED a lot, not sit in a case to look "pretty"

I know I might get some biased opinions considering I'm posting in this thread. If you had a chance to get a P+18350 trading away a provari mini 2.5 would you do it? I know their totally different. I'm just real indecisive :/

The provari is my only non-mechanical btw. I have a poldiac, ggts, mkbts, gmts, sigelei 19. Also have the simplicity 14500 coming in the mail.

@vaptamist Oh nooooo. It was either trade the provari for the P+ or nothing. I'm not trading away any of my mechs. Each has its purpose and I just love all of them. Thinking about it now, the provari has its own purposes also.

I get where everyone is coming from with the reasonings on keeping the provari. Thanks for the input guys! Appreciated to the max. I think I'll keep my provari :) ill stay put with the simplicity from super t for now. I'm sure they'll come out with more stuff sooner than later. Though that ELA looks mighty nice :p

I think having a VV device is a must. I don't use my Provari all the time, but when I need it, it's great to have. You really will get similar performance on the 14500 Simplicity to a P+18350 anyway, the only difference being how things look when you put them on top. Battery life on an AW IMR 14500 is similar enough to an AW IMR 18350.

If you were to make an investment I would say pick up an ELA or a larger P+, like an 18500 or 18650.

One of the reasons why it's hard for me to buy that ELA is cuz of the wait. I'm sure it's well worth it. I mean it's not like I NEED it which plays a big part in the decision of holding off for now. I'm hearing that they'll be readily available in the future after the pre-orders? If so, ill pick one up then.

It was easier to make a decision on buying the simplicity. Same thing, I really didn't need it but having it available to buy and ready to ship was nice.

I'm not so sure about that. I believe David said that he may offer this as a limited release device in the future and the second run is going to be the last one for a while. If you're interested in getting one at all, I would pick one up now.

First batch shipping is supposed to be finished this week.

Hi I have a quick question and need some help. I have a P+ 18500 and it's my pride and joy. Did the Precise Plus range include a more polished Stainless Steel version in 18650? Or was that just the P18? If anyone can help I'd be really grateful. The one I saw had a slanted top, looked more polished than my P+ 18500 and had vents and a locking button.

The P+'s come stock in one or two finishes. A satin (media blasted) and polished (which is is actually a 400 grit brushed finish)... So, it should probably be called brushed, rather than polished.

There are those who have actually polished the factory finish into a true polished finish. It you see a P+ with a mirror finish, it DID NOT come from Super-T that way.

If you're on the edge about getting an ELA, i'd say just do it. I was on the edge too, but was looking around facebook, and I ran into a video of a woman with an ELA doing a video. I can't find the video again for the life of me, but man the quality of these mods is something you won't find in a caravela or an iHybrid. The threads in this thing are literally smoother than a baby's ...., David must be one heck of a perfectionist to do this level of quality. They may not be all shiny and brass, but these mods are made to be used, and you can use them hard. That was enough to push me over the edge, that and the fact that they probably won't be available too much longer.

Next time you have a "friend" bragging about his (her) copper contacts PV, show them this :

And then go back to your rhodium contact because it will last you a lifetime with no sanding required. :)

ELA, I love thee.
Nic

That is awesome, If you have extras, please let me know. I like that WAY better than the brass screw I have in my P+18500.
