Official Vision Eternity RBA Thread - Tips, Tricks, and Modifications

How has the Vision Eternity Been Treating You And Vice Versa?

  • Pretty much perfect! No problems here.

  • No problems. Easy to avoid issues.

  • A little finicky, but little effort to rebuild.

  • Still learning, but no issues so far.

  • Leaking, but looks too good to waste.

  • I'll deal with it when I have to. In my reserves.

  • Too much effort. Trashed it.

  • I don't have one...

Hey everyone,

Having recently received a Vision Eternity, I searched ECF only to find that there was no dedicated thread to this wonderful, yet fragile atomizer. It's absolutely beautiful on the Stainless eGo-C Twist and if you're like me, you'd like to keep this classy atty on it.

Including initial leaking issues (initially easily solved by dripping less juice and keeping the atty from any impacts), apparently the positive post is prone to shifting.

How are you guys dealing with the fickle beauty that is the Eternity?

Cheers,
Abe

So far it's doing pretty well by me. I was searching for a shiny alternative to my drip-mode satin Mark-T infinity, found the Eternity and since it was cheap, why not?
First one I ordered arrived with no holes drilled in the center post which allowed no airflow whatsoever. The replacement so cordially and efficiently provided by COV arrived in working order. The most obvious thing to me is that it is supposed to be a Mark-T clone, but only insofar as much as whoever cloned it just had a picture to look at. :) It's a third longer than the Mark-T because you have to use the needle section even when dripping and operates under a bottom-air principle whereas the Mark-T uses a side hole.
I tried the stock 2.2 ohm wick/coil for about 5 minutes before bailing on it, those premades are nasty. Replaced it with a hunk of 3.5mm silica and 1.5 ohms of kanthal. Much better. I know the little clips are supposed to make wire attachment easier, but I much prefer screws. I also yanked out the silica from the needle.
The draw was far too airy for my liking so I plugged one of the holes in the atomizer connection with the tip of a broken off toothpick. That fairly replicates the draw of my beloved Mark-T. I've had no leaking issues.
After this little bit of fiddling I can certainly say that in my case it was worth the money for my purposes.

I really love these things. I have four—two in use and two still in the box—and I've had great success with both the drip mode and the tank mode ... however, after rebuilding these things multiple times (at least 6 times each in the two months I've had them), the positive post is becoming loose and wobbly. So far, there is no shorting but I feel like the potential is there.

The most recent ones I have I bought about two months ago ... does anyone know if a newer version has come out in that time that addresses the loose positive post issue? I do dearly love these things, both for looks and performance (my tank mode Eternity on a 1000 mAh SS eGo Twist is my preferred out-and-about device), but that wiggly positive post is making me nervous!

Glad to finally see this dedicated thread. These have become my favorite. I've been using cotton wicks lately , both for the coil and spike and the flavor and vapor are better than carto tanks IMHO. The beauty of the this thing is that it's so easy to clean and re-wick which makes it great for changing flavor- no residual taste from stronger juices that stick to the plastic and silicon parts of clearomizers and Vivi Novas.

So, I got one of these and wasn't impressed so I tossed it into my junk box. I pulled it out today and realized it was set up for bottom feeding! The main problem I have is with the ultra ugly tall top cap. It seems like there has to be some cheapo rba top cap that is interchangeable with this thing. Has anyone had any luck making this RBA shorter?

ive never seen an eternity up close, but the wobbly center post is a problem with the A7 as well. it is remedied by placing a small strip of a carto condom in beteewn the pos post and the 510 housing, creating a bushing. maybe that would work for the eternity as well.

also, manji1, maybe an A7 top cap would fit the eternity.

Been running two units with SS mesh, cut angled to the weave to bend well. One vaped like a monster from the get-go, the other needed two days of tweaking to get to run right. Real important to oxidize the mesh and burn some eliquid on it after bending it downwards on the posts.
I found you have to over-bend the downwards arms so that they spring back to 90 degrees. A squeeze with needle-nose pliers at the bend point helped things along. Unless the mesh is totally oxidized you get a short the minute you put the cover over the coil part. Leaving the cover loose by a few threads and rolling an O-ring over the outside exposed threads to prevent leakage helped matters for some reason. Giving it a sharp rap or loosening the cover a little more whenever smoke output dropped also helped.
Fiddly but do-able :)

Got one tonight as a Father's Day present I told my wife I would like to have. Using in "dripper" mode right now, so far so good. I like the looks and it fits great on my SS 650 Vision Spinner. Vapes great and I have the tanks to go with it. I have an E-Cab and am use to using tanks and actually like too since I can switch around flavors frequently.

Addendum: Thought I had vaped the dripper down enough to add more, 10 drops. I was wrong and it became a mess due to over filling. Took some out and leakage stopped. Note to self: overfilling of Vision Eternity causes severe leakage!

im really frustrated with this piece. I cant afford to get a new rbs and would like to make this work well. need to learn to make new coil i guess. I put a replacement on and it tasted horrible...wick burnt...throw away...get the last replacement wick that came with it and put it on. the coil looks a bit messy and the flavor is not that great. vapor production is on the very low side. also...the wick in the post needle for the ego tank was nasty and i removed it...dont know how to replace it or if i even want to as i use only for driping. Havent seen any issues with my positive post and changing the wicks is a breeze. i think i might have snipped mine too short maybe? i dont know. this is my first rba and id sure love some help. definitely want to learn about this SS wick everyone is talking about

Received one of these today. Bought it used from ebay, no instructions and can't find anything comprehensive online. I bought it so I could take the experience I get at home with my Nimbus, Kraken and AIOS hybrid to work with me.

First impressions are it seems flimsy. It's lightweight but feels like it won't stand up to anything more than staying indoors. The ego ring is made of something akin to foil and the rest of the body whilst better still seems weak.

I set it up as a dripper using 3 strands or 1.5mm silica and 5ish wraps of .30 kanthal. 2.5ohms and good flavour with reasonable vapour.
I filled the tank with my preferred juice (dodging strawberry) and installed it to the primed unit. Vapour is weak, my kettle makes bigger clouds. The taste is still there but less pronounced.

I like the idea of this but in practice I'll stick with my mini davide on my ego for work. I'll keep playing with it at home but I fear it will get relegated to the drawer in favor of others.
