I received my CoV edition GGTS in the mail today after a little over 2.5 months of waiting and it was definitely worth it. After receiving my GGTS, I went ahead and charged the batteries, screwed and tightened the parts together, and made sure there were no damages. Once the battery was done charging, I installed the battery, and slapped on my dear Penelope onto the GGTS. Then I pressed the button and it wouldn't fire! I was like, oh no! I doubled checked everything and tried again but it still wouldn't fire. I finally figured out the problem after thinking more thoroughly and the issue was with the button, it was not seated deep enough to make contact with the fuse post, and so I screwed the button down even more after adjusting the smaller metal ring. Volla! It started to fire and took my first pull with the GGTS.

The performance is noticeably better but I don't know why that is so. It definitely hits harder, feels smoother and more consistent, and more control. I have the airflow control ring seated all the way down to a close position, which is what I seem to like at the moment. I also have the upgraded fuse protection kit installed in my GGTS (can anyone explain to me why the fuse protection kit is better than the original fuse?)

I really don't have any issues or complaints with the GGTS. It is a phenomenal piece of work, a bit heavy and manly (which is good), and just awesome in every way. The only problem I have is with the button, I had to guess on how much I have to screw it down to insure that it properly hits and to make sure it doesn't cause misfiring. I guess the only solution to this is to mark the brass button post at the proper point in which the smaller steel ring should sit for proper firing.

Overall, I am incredibly happy with my GGTS and would like to thank Imeo and CoV for their efforts.

CONGRATS DOKE!
The button is made to be adjustable because folks like different throw lengths. I have found that the button is more reliable with a short throw. With these new TS's though all contacts are brass which makes it hit harder and much more consistently.

The easiest way to adjust the button is looking down the tube while you screw the housing closer to the battery post. The new brass springs ROCK! They are a little on the stiff side but you can "relax" them a bit by compressing it all the way with your thumb and finger a few times. Make sure you regularly clean all your brass contacts including springs to keep your TS singing.

Thanks! I'll clean the parts each time I rebuild my wick and coil for my Penelope, which is around every 2-3 weeks.

Does anyone have any tips for the button coming loose sometimes? Sometimes when I lock it so that I don't trigger the button it will come loose. I tightened it the best I can but it still gets loose on rare occasions. It's not a big deal but if there is a work-around, that would be great.

Also, is it bad to overtighten everything? It feels like I could tighten it a bit more but I'm scared that I might squash the battery or bend something.

On a side note, the GGTS is making my Penelope hit like a truck. I'm literally coughing almost after each pull, craziness!

The only thing I can say on the lock ring is try to tighten it a little more. For the TS, tighten with your fingers enough that your tubes don't turn on their own. Don't go beyond that and you should be good.

For the button I normally try to grab the locking ring with the edge of a washcloth or shammy to get a tighter hold and tighten (the one that contacts the tube not locks the button). I still sometimes get the button coming loose but this method seems to stay tight longest for me. Oddly the non adjustable thro buttons stay best for me but you loose the adjustable throw.

As for tightening I normally just go just till it makes contact without a spring. If you over tighten it can dent the battery. Also if you use normal attys or cartos you can short them out by over tightening. Fortunatly this won't happen ith the GG rebuildables since their posative posts are threaded in and not just held in with an o'ring. If you ever decide to use the spring instead of the fuse kit many of us use the hiss method for tightening.. Tighten just till you can hear your atty hiss with the button pressed. Then make maybe 1/2 another turn.

I have to chime in here too. I received my first GGTS yesterday with a UFS and well, wow!! Beautiful piece and just reeks of quality. The bits and pieces of the device I read you guys talking about now make a lot more sense to me, now that I've got one in my hand. And after watching a couple of tutorial videos on the UFS it's up and running like a dream. I did have a few mishaps with leaking(user error), but even this little old lady was able to figure out where I went wrong, correct my mistake and get it pouring out plumes of vapor. Thank you Imeo!!!

Thanks for your help everyone. I need to stop holding my GGTS so much, already seeing some wear and tear on it. The brass pieces have some scratches and is getting tarnished but I'm the type of person that likes wears and tears, is that odd? lol

I also realized that I didn't have the Penelope fully screwed down to close the gap along the top of the top brass cap. Now the air control is fully functional and had to open it up a few turns, other wise I would have died from lack of oxygen.

I still can't get enough of the performance it is giving out, amazing.

A few reactions after my friends saw my GGTS,

Albert - "is that a silencer?"

Natalie - "holy cow, what is that?"

Andre - "Is that a light saber?"

Random person passing by - "O.O"

Confession. I've been holding mine wrapped up in a towel to keep it pretty.
