Thank you for the clarification. Ahhhh, I have to think again. Just read another post here somewhere about someone being concerned about metals in atomizers, brass particularly. I thought the atomizer was SS, but on the site: "It is made of brass and is nickel plated".

Again, I'll have to mull this over.

I believe the RM3 is all SS and you can get one in either single or dual coil. You can always look at the BF cyclone by Vicious ant but the RM2 is a great atty.

Good luck on your decision

The RM3 is all stainless except for the posts, they are nickel plated brass as per reosmods.com. The IGO bf is all stainless, but don't know how well it vapes. Haven't tried anything I like better than the RM2 so far tho, it's a flavor machine.

Thanks for the info on the RM3......The IGO BF vapes great, it is a small chambered atty with awesome flavor.

My Provari read my coil as being 1.3 when the coil was actually 3.1! Yikes.
I am very glad to have saved money buying iTaste SVD and VTR. Their ohm meters are right on. Also should be built with low ohm in mind. My husband has 2 like on the rtd and the lowest ohm scale is 20. When I short the leads I get .3 - .4 ohm and I have to subtract that from the coil reading. The meters are good for the other trouble shooting but I would like to find one with lower ohm/volt scales.

Radioshack has some wonderful multimeters. I have checked mine with various cartomizers, and my RM2 in the store before I bought it. Just ask one of the people there to "help you pick out" a multimeter. Explain your use, then ask to test it because it is imperative that it works accurately.

And remember, you want the radioshack branded one that is digital. It should be in the $20 to $50 price range depending on what else you want it to do. I got the 42 function multimeter for $32 and not really sure why. All I needed it to ever do was tell me Volts and Ohms.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, they short at 0 Ohms. Read all of my smoktech 1.7 shorty cartos between 1.6 and 18.

A voltage meter is the way to go there is no need to pull your atomizer off your mod every time you make a coil . Leave the atomizer on the mod save yourself some aggravation your mod will thank you as well . You eliminate the chance of cross threading your not constantly over applying pressure to your gaskets and its easy to use the mod as a atty holder while you work on the build . Your air hole is already lined up Not to mention every vaper should have a voltage meter .Take it from a guy that repair's mods all the time leave the atty on the mod .

What Rob says ^

Here's how I (used to) do it :)

I just put some single strand insulated copper leads on an extra RBA base I had and touch the terminal posts to get a reading.

Unfortunately that atty is now on my 60 something year old step dads REO I got for him about 2 months ago. He (and my 70 something year old mother) both quit smoking and vaping days apart. I gave my mom a REO and a cyclone atty.

They have not rebuilt the attys yet, but have come over for weekly rewicking and coil checks. They vape 24 mg nic base and their coils are fine.

Just Wednesday, I trained him to rewick both attys and check screw tightness. He did an excellent job with both.

I hate touching other people's mods and attys so next I'm gonna train him to rebuild their own coils. My mom may be better at that because she's into sewing and crafting - he's more the drywall repair type.

There's a lot of very simple videos for rebuilding and a very simple photo tutorial.

How bout I place a some here for you :)

The guy that makes those vids has been using exclusively REOs for nearly 2 years. He was once a big puss about rebuilding and when he found how easy it was he became all evangelical on the subject :)

Here's a video on the grand too:

You CAN easily and lazily rebuild. That and your REO and you'll be vaping like a rock starlet :)

Also note that a lot has changed in the last year or so since I made that vid :)

Here's how I do it now (of course it's even easier cause I'm lazy too :))
