So after trying my first e-cig which was a no. 7, I'm curious to know what has to do with throat hit. Every time I take a puff it feels like my throat is on fire, feels similar to smoking a bowl (sorry for those who get angry about drugs). I'd like to know if it has to do with eliquid or if it has to do with the PV itself.

Also, the no. 7 makes it feel like I'm trying to drink a thick milkshake through a straw. What is easier to drag off of without killing vapor, but without burning the crap out of my throat?

I have a 510 coming soon, so I'm excited to try that out. I am considering the eGo later on too.

I'd say the throat issue is from either the primer or the liquid.
Don't know anything about no. 7 so this is just guess work.
If it's the primer, take off the atty and blow through the end with the threads--use paper towel.

As for the sucking through the straw, that has a lot to do with the model. Sometimes things can be done to make it better, but since I don't know anything about the model, I can't help there.
Maybe someone who in familiar with it will jump in.

The 510 worked perfect for me, had to go to the 1000 MAH battery tho. I get my juice from freedomsmokeusa, they mix the flavors how you want.

PG is the throat hit, VG is the vapor and high nicotine levels can increase the throat hit too. I went with 50/50 on the PG/VG and 12 MG on the nic and this floats my boat! I came from 2 packs of camel turkish gold for 20 years and LOVE the vaping scene! Haven't had an analog since.

Hey, are you using pre-filled cartridges? If so what mg are they? Do you have any eliquid that you can add to the cartridges if that's what you are using......I am not familiar with the no. 7.

I'm using the pre-filled cartridges that came with the kit which are 16mg strength. The e-liquid I ordered is on the way. It's a No. 7 Micro, I didn't do my research before buying it and then came across this forum lol!

I'd say the throat issue is from either the primer or the liquid.

I will try blowing through the atty, it could very well be the primer but I have no idea what that would feel like. LOL I plan on getting rid of this model eventually so I wouldn't modify it much. I was wondering if there was anything really easy to draw from though?

Sometimes my no7 gives a real harsh hit if there is too much juice in the atty, try taking the atomizer off and use canned air to blow it out from the hole on the battery side (hold a tissue or paper towel over the other side with the bridge to catch the juice) then put it back together and try it. Usually works for me, I get more vapor and it tones down the harshness of the throat hit.

I just got my juice from Vaporbomb, a whole bunch of sample flavors with 100% VG just to be safe incase I'm allergic to PG... Congrats on quitting analogs!

My first was the no.7 there is no fixing the sucking through a straw problem, just put this one away when you get your 510 and that will fix that problem:)

Try adding some VG to your juices to cut down on the throat hit.

Thank you! It's nice to hear from someone who has used a no. 7. I'm hoping the juices I ordered a few days ago will be great and not kill my throat anymore. lol

I will try this, although I was having trouble getting vapor out of it at all. That could've been because of the battery problem though.

You look far too young to be vapping. Wait until you are legal to smoke analogs.

When I started it took a few days to get used to the throat hit, almost like learning to smoke all over again. About the only thing I could inhale without coughing was a menthol juice. The menthol really helped even though I did not smoke menthol cigs. Reduced nic level and increased VG percentage also help, but you may just have to work through it for a while.

Hahaha. That's my 7 month old son Oliver, isn't he cute? :)

Honestly, I don't cough, it just huuuuurts... I think I may be allergic to PG or something, my throat has not stopped burning since I vaped with those prefilled cartridges. They don't list their ingredients. Grr. I can't wait until my 100% VG low nic juices get here.

Watcha mate. I use the 510 atty's and think they are fine. Your throat hit may be down to the liquid you are using. What mg of nicotine are you vaping? You may have to use a low amount then build up!
16 mg, prefilled carts that came with the kit.

He is cute and has to be a great motivator to quit smoking. I hope your new juice works better for you.
He really is. It's also nice to know I don't have to leave the house to smoke, so I can always hear if he's getting into trouble or not. lol!

bistinget - If throat hits are too harsh, you can drip a drop or two of Glycerin into your cartridge or cartomizer. You can find Glycerin (which is VG - vegetable glycerine) in a 6 oz bottle at Wal-Mart, usually on the shelf just above the rubbing alcohol in the pharmacy section. It's $3.00 for 177 ml (or 6 ounces).

When I mix the liquids I buy from various companies on the web (into a separate bottle), I'll add the liquid and then about 40% Glycerin, depending on the strength of the nicotine mix I bought. For 24 mg, I'll mix 50% Glycerin and 50% e-liquid. Then fill the carts or cartos with that mixture.

My first mixture (and favorite so far) is 18 mg RY4 (which is a tobacco caramel mixture) and 18 mg Green Apple. For example, mix: 4 ml of RY4, 4 ml of Green Apple, and 5½ ml Glycerin. Shake well and use to refill cartomizers (or cartridges, if you prefer to use an atomizer and have to drip constantly all day). If I use 24 mg of a nicotine mixture, then I'll mix 50% e-liquid and 50% Glycerin. Then I have a mixture that is 12 mg of nicotine with lots of vapor and perfect throat hits.

Adding Glycerin will lessen the throat hits and also the flavor, increase the vapor, and it will make your liquids last longer (if you purchase the higher mg of nicotine to begin with).

Thanks, I'll definitely pick up a bottle of glycerin to try and lessen the pain. The no. 7 just doesn't do it for me, I can't wait for my 510 to come.

Question though, I have a lot of flavors coming soon, a lot of people say to use a new atty and cartridge for each flavor?

Yes, it's a good idea to use a different atomizer for different flavors. Otherwise, you'll have a mixture of your flavors until the old flavor is completely burned out of the atomizer. But if you don't have an extra atty, you can clean it. YouTube has several videos showing how to do that. Lots of different methods, etc. I just rinsed it with hot water and blew it dry with a hair dryer. I also cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol a couple of times. Then I switched to cartomizers and haven't used atomizers since then.

I would maybe stop using them as I found the pre-filled carts are nowhere near as good as filling your own, you can then choose your flavour and nicotine strength. I am presently vaping 18mg and I buy mine from liberty-flights.co.uk however, they have are based in USA too just use .com instead of .co.uk, also you can use ECR69 for a discount code which I think gives USA buyers 20% off. Hope this helps.
