If you have some unflavoured VG or PG you can try either cutting down the nic in your juice by mixing a little in with it or even try priming a coil with the unflavoured PG/VG and seeing if you get the same burning feeling when you vape it.
I only have 1 juice and all the juices i found contained 18 mg nicotine....

If you bought that at a shop the seller should have known better than to give you 18mg. nicotine juice for the device your using. If possible I would go back and exchange your liquid if you can.
Its

Hmm - I hate vendors like this. As pointed out 18mg is way too much for that setup get yourself the 1.2 ohm coil out it should have a 1.2 etched into the side of it put that in the tank after a couple of drops of liquid to make sure the cotton on the coil head is wet - fill the tank and let it sit for 5 or so minutes.

Then without firing the box just take 4 -5 long slow pulls on the tank. Turn the wattage down to about 12 - 13 watts and fire the coil - slowly work your way up with the wattage to where you like the taste.

Hi and welcome to ECF.

The Kanger Subox Mini Starter Kit was my first my choice and regretfully I had the throat burns and coughing fits during my first few days aswell. Its important to start slow and on low wattages. It is even more important to saturate your coil heads with an adequate amout of juice before you start vaping or else you will burn the cotton. Once burnt the cotton is not reusable. Remember to let your new coil head rest in a tank full of e-liquid for 5-10mins for optimum results. Once past the initial woes, you may still require some time to get used to the changes. All of this happened to me and now I'm a happy vaper (3 weeks since I began). It is also imporant to choose the right e-liquids and nicotine levels. I went with highly rated premium e-liquids, and just as equally highly priced.., with 12mg nicotine levels. Once I got used to vaping, the juices were buttery smooth with no throat hits whatsoever.

I must admit there a bit of a learning curve involved, especially with the Subox Mini; however, this mod will also offer more room for play later down the track. Start on low wattages and take it easy.
