I just really enjoy the whole experience of vaping. I love trying new flavors. I can still remember how much I hated smoking, but couldn't get away from tobacco no matter how hard I tried. I knew I didn't want to smoke anymore, but still the first thing I did everyday was light a cigarette before I was wen out of bed. Now I look forward to that first vape in the morning, especially with certain flavors. I spend my free time at work redoing coils on my protank heads, it is way more than just a way to get my nicotine without smoking, chewing that nasty gum that tasted like an ashtray, or having to stick a patch on my arm. It is a hobby and a way of life, I feel so much healthier (having just passed my 9 month smoke free date yesterday) and I am convinced that I will never smoke an analog EVER again. My wife still smokes and the smell just turns my stomach, I can't believe I used to smoke those smelly things. I am so glad that I picked up an eon smoke cigalike starter kit that day last July, because I haven't even thought about smoking since. And although I am intent on getting a provari in the not too distant future, I am thankful for the staff at my closest local b&m, they are very nice friendly knowledgeable people who helped me find a reliable pv, and are always there to help out or answer any questions myself or any other customer may have, although I do get most of my information from my fellow ecf'ers. Just wanted to share

It's so great to hear that you are enjoying it. I only wish we had vaping available when I was 20. My live would have been so much better. I smoked for 20 years. Sometimes, it just boggles my mind that I did this obnoxious lighting up and burning thing for 20 years!!! Vaping really helped me stay away from cigs. Even dreams of smoking. When I was using patches and whatnot it always made me have nightmares and made me unhappy and unsatisfied, the itch did not go away! No more of those with vaping. I can feel the diff in my health. Like you I do enjoy vaping. Enjoy!!!

I'm with you CrisJ and Pranayam. Today marks the 8th mo. buying my MVP, taking it home, nervously filling up the tank, and starting to vape. I didn't know at the time I had quit smoking! Couple of days later, I go, "Dang! What's happening here?" You see, I was merely practicing for a visit to non smoking relatives. Vaping was to just "tide" me over 'till I got back home......Think I faked myself out. :p Anyway, I'm lovin' the whole experience; and now have a ProVari (awesome) and building coils to add to my enjoyment and amusement. Haven't felt this good in years and years!

Here's to youse guys! :toast:

I'm loving vaping too! It's been over 15 months and I'm still going strong. I've just recently tried my hand at building coils. They really are simple, go figure as to what had me so scared to try it before. I still like my cartotanks though. I have accrued quite a collection in my 15+ months, enough to keep me for several years and yet there's always more I want or could use. My health has improved so much it's crazy. It's also made me change other things in my life which is a good thing. The best snowball affect ever.

I agree, I just yesterday built my first microcoil, wicked with cotton, works like a champ. I was an electrician for 6 years, so wire is very familiar to me, gives me an advantage. But yea, making the change from tobacco to vaping was up there, prolly top 3 decisions I have ever made. I have also converted 15 people to a better healthier way of getting their nicotine. We had a meeting the other day, every driver an manager from all 5 yards in New Jersey, and halfway through we took a break, it was like a vape lounge out front on that break. An I'm still the "go-to" guy when anyone has any questions. I have my desk (which is not really exclusively mine, but I always try to grab it) set up with the keurig, business cards and pamphlets from all the local b&m shops, an my supplies to rebuild coils and fill my protanks. I have customers asking me all the time "what is that" "what does it do" "how does it work" and so on. I'm always spreading the knowledge, referring people to ECF and casaa, urging people to sign petitions and so on. I am going to talk to my boss and try to set up a small scale shop in the back room, and start up my own b&m. My manager will help out, he's one of the converts and has been talking about opening up a shop, so this may turn into a great business venture

i'm totally with ChrisJ on all that. except, i have to confess that i did love smoking. what i didn't like was the enormous cancer risks, smelling like an ashtray, feeling like a total loser while standing out in the freezing cold to feed my addiction, the wheezing, the palpitations, the dental costs to repair my receding gum line before it was too late, and the tobaccy companies themselves for basically throwing in every dirty chemical under the sun to keep me craving more. other than that smoking was quite relaxing.

That's how I got started as well. Visiting my mother who doesn't smoke and lives in an anti-smoke building, parking lot, sidewalk environment, I needed something to tide me over for three days. Ego-Twist to MVP in 2 months. Haven't looked back since.

This is a good story if I ever heard one. I have been at this a little over 2 years and have loved every bit of it. The whole trading a bad habit into a hobby and now I get paid to help others start vaping and help them turn it into a hobby even(if they choose too.). It is stories like this that make me glad to be able to work at a B&M.

Isn't it a "hoot", Melissa, to have a happy thing happen by mistake! I believe the tansition was so easy for us WAS because we didn't put any pressure on ourselves to quit smoking. I mean, it was only going to be temporary; and I still have two full cartons of cigs in the pantry. Didn't even finish the 1/2 pack had opened. I didn't count on this happening at all since I'm old and set in my ways and have railed against the rights of smokers being taken away for years.

By the 6th day of vaping, I was absolutely flabbergasted and dancing around the kitchen before my first cup of coffee! Hubby, a non smoker, is only too happy that I vape; and has escorted me to every vape meet within a 2 hr radius of Chattanooga. On that 6th day went to first vape meet. Met some very friendly people and won my first ProVari. Think someone was telling me somethin'? :D

I am just passed the 6 month mark myself and have never felt better. In the 6+ months that I have been vaping I have never even taken a drag off of a cigarette and like you! the smell disgusts me. I can't imagine how many people I have offended in my smoking days smelling like that. Vaping has helped me give up that nasty habit but it has also become a hobby and one that I really enjoy. I love rebuilding my PT2's and my RBA's and all the options that are out there keep me interested in trying different things. So, for me at least, it's not an addiction but more of a hobby.

Sounds like a perfect summary of why I got interested in e-cigs -- especially the standing out in the cold like a total freaking idiot -- we just had the coldest winter in 30 yrs, but hey, it got me to quit smoking. :D And my asthma thanks me every morning, when I DON'T have to cough up a lung and a half just to start breathing. I've only just started, 37 days now, but my breathing is already so much better, it's amazing. I'm really looking forward to the next year's increase in healthiness, I was so seemingly "decrepit" for so long, I felt a lot older than nearly-53, and certainly I look it, and I know it's all the fault of the cigarettes for 39 years.

Just plain tickled PINK!

I love vaping so much more than smoking! Like a few of you, I too originally started because I was taking my son to college and the campus was smoke free so I thought this would be a good alternative. That was all it took for me. Found it to taste so much better and more satisfying and now it has become a hobby for me as well. I never thought I'd be building my own coils someday or have a huge stash of juice and gear. But I love every minute of it!
