the burnt flavor comes from not using the right amount.....takes some tinkering to figure it out. Too much cotton and air flow is poor, and you get a bad flavor from the cotton. Not enough cotton and you get hot spots in your coil, causing burnt taste....right amount of cotton and yum!

I know... and I could NEVER! get that magical "right amount". Rayon is FAR!!! less finicky about "right amount" -- if it fits thru the coil, it's probably the right amount! If it leaks, add more! Like I said... AMAZING stuff!

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Yeah, like that many cigarettes being smoked wouldn't have stunk the place up at all, right?

And one other factor he seems to have totally disregarded: if we had all just remained cigarette smokers, very few of us would have met at all -- without e-cigs, many of us might already be dead or dying! -- and if we did meet, we might or might not have had anything else in common -- to judge from all the personality conflicts, strategy disagreements, and political arguments around this place, if we'd all happened to meet, it might have just been WWIII right then and there. :D Instead we have a common goal -- getting free of cigarettes in a much easier way than anything that came before e-cigs -- and common enemies -- the ANTZ, the FDA, and other ignorant folks who know nothing about e-cigs, yet want to "regulate" us.

And it was obvious the pics were contests and not normal vaping. I had other pics of when contests weren't going on and the room was considerably less foggy.

I'm sure he was just initially repulsed by all the vapor in the room and that being expelled from people's mouths.

I so agree with this Andrea. Its all about taste. I don't inhale but do like TH and, unfortunately, like the taste of smoke... ugh... but then I like burnt popcorn too.

Can't say I'm thrilled with burnt popcorn; I hate it when my husband over-nukes it and stinks up my microwave! :D

I *love* TH... and normally, I inhale, but shallowly. But, since I'm just coming off that additional month of smoking, I have to go thru the coughing-up phase again, to get rid of what the smoke left behind in my lungs, so I'm trying very hard to NOT inhale, at least till my lungs are cleared out again. Hopefully since my lungs had already cleared before I had that month of light smoking, it won't take very long to clear them this time; probably not nearly as long as it took the first time, when I was clearing out *39 years!* of the stuff. :D

The main thing I noticed, and was very irritated by, from the month of smoking, was how quickly my sinuses got clogged up again -- within about 10 days of resuming smoking, even though I was smoking about half of my "usual" (that I would have been smoking before I started vaping at all), I'd wake in the morning just totally blocked, requiring pseudoephedrine to get clear at all. Yesterday I was blowing my nose all day, and it was just the 2nd day smoke-free, and today they feel much clearer. Hopefully before the week is out, my sinuses will be clear again, and my lungs nearly so.

Seeing these stages all over again, makes me that much more determined to really make it stick, this time. I'm not going to be so foolish as to loudly and dramatically proclaim "I'll never smoke again!" because I did that before, and look how that worked out for me. But I do think I'd have to be craving a lot worse than I was, to give in again, seeing how much harder it was to reach the decision to lay them down for the 2nd time. I did have some serious cravings yesterday, so I'm glad that the cigarettes were 25 miles away from me, here at home while I was at my folks', and that by the time I finally did get home, the cravings had ebbed to the point that I no longer considered smoking a cigarette to be a viable option. Yeah, I could have, and I told myself that I could, if I was still really hurting for a smoke... but I also knew it would just be postponing the inevitable, so I might as well just stick it out. Really glad I did stick it out.

When I picked up vaping, I had already been off the analogues for almost 2 years. Then I foolishly decided to run a sober living home. The management of it dramatically increased my stress load and I started craving the smokes again. I said no way, and picked up a cheap vape pen (imperial ehookah...don't recommend :p). Being off cigarettes for so long prior, the transition to vaping was smooth and absolute. I never get the cravings for analogues any more. Now I just crave more and more fancy and elaborate vape gear :D

I think, we all suffer from that same cravings. The arsenals that we have at home often seems ridiculous to the un-initiated.

Not to a lady :D
I have pretty looking costume jewelry to go with any color and style of clothing. So does my best friend.
Now, I also have pretty looking vaping gear to go with many colors of my clothing. And you bet that I get admiring glances and compliments from other ladies when I show off my pretties ;) I once got a very nice compliment from a lady (a retired doctor who very much approves of my vaping instead of smoking). I was wearing a black cloak with necklace, earrings, and ring all in blood red. Used a PV all in velvety blood red. With the hand that bore the ring, of course ( ;) ). The other lady was absolutely enthusiastic and cried out: "Oh, that looks so wonderful with your ring!" :)

A lady will understand... :D

I wish someone would explain this to my husband. I have a white ceramic drip tip I just love, it's so smooth, and he just does not get why I need a white vv3 to go with it. Though now that I'm off the smokes again, I really don't care what he thinks, I'm saving money not buying cigarettes, so I think I'll get that white vv3 pretty soon, just $27. :D

If a gentleman ever does understand what Anjaffm was trying to convey, please use a sports analogy of some sort to help us guys relate to what she was trying to say. Thank you!

Motorcycles:
- HD Vrod special edition for showing off at Sturgis,
- Black Triumph Speed triple to do the Dragon tail,
- Gold BMW 1200RC to parade,
- Red Ducati Diavel to piss off the HD herd,
- Red HD Electra Glide to cruise with style,
- White Honda VFR to look like a sport rider,
- White BMW R1000R to piss off the VFR and the Triumph rider,
- BMW1000 RR HP4 to do some sport riding at the track or to show off everywhere else.
- Any Dirty and muddy moto cross for Saturday morning trail ridding
- Any nice trike for a Sunday ride with your nice girl.

Total cost, not counting the garage to store them, around $200,000. In my dreams I have every social event covered with style, just like Anjaffm .

My local B&M, where I got started, is owned by a Doctor!

I love to tell people that when they start with the "smoking" routine!

These days are gone, but there's always room for a vaping doctor.

Not a gentleman here, obviously, but... you know those caps or helmets that sports teams wear? The emblems on them should match whatever emblem or insignia is on the jersey! You wouldn't want "Atlanta Braves" on the jersey, and whatever emblem the... oh, I dunno, the Pirates? have on their caps, would you? It just wouldn't match!

Or to take this matching thing to a more obvious level... would it look right for a guy in a Braves uniform to be wearing a Falcons helmet???

Why yes, I do know what you are talking about.

I think I'm starting to understand. You're saying everyone ought to be vaping blue and gold gear to show their love for the (first place) Milwaukee Brewers. If that's not what you are saying, then I may never understand.

Realsis Hater's gotta hate yah know?

don't let that diminish what you've done, the odds are against smokers quitting and you have.

I just nod and give a "it's a drug delivery system" or something like that..and go on vaping.

I get knuckleheads like that and give 'em a "Bless your lil heart" and don't even bother to argue with them, *lol*

Yah can't fix Stupid and God won't...so *lol*

You can tell you are from a southern state lol. The land of insults that sound like compliments/pleasantries :p

Of course. :D On the theory that pitying someone is the worst insult you can give them... "bless your heat" is pure pity -- it's natural to pity the irretrievably stupid, right? :D

Hm.... is that to admire my vaping finery? Or is that to introduce me to your wife so that I can convince her that you can never have too much vaping finery?

Can't fix stupid! That's all that is. Way to go on 100 days. Just passed 200 myself:toast:

Congratulations on your 200 days!!! :thumb:
