Okay don't throw anything at me virtually. I don't need to go to the health forum and I don't think I am being poisoned and taken by the body snatchers because I am vaping..
I just noticed that most days I have been getting terrible headaches. I have been trying to drink a lot of water. I was a heavy water drinker before I started vaping. Admittedly it has been harder to drink water as it doesnt taste as good...
So does anyone know why I may be getting these headaches? It really sucks bad:(

FYI I am vaping 11-12 mg nic and 100% VG. I have some mixes on the way (70 vg/30 pg etc) to see if that may make a difference.
I really don't think it is nic overdose as I am not chain vaping.

It might be a nic underdose. If you've just started vaping it could be your body's way of detoxing. Maybe up the nic mg (11-12mg is pretty low - I smoked ultra lights and I vape 18-24mg) If I had to guess I'd say its withdrawl. I get the same thing when I don't drink caffeine!

Plus there are a lot of chemicals in cigs that we also get addicted to - not just nic. So the ecigs aren't going to be providing those obviously. Its common for people to experience shakes, dizziness and headaches after stopping cigs. It will go away after a few days to a few weeks.

I get headaches out of the blue every couple of weeks. Dull headaches.that seem to hang around for a couple days. I think it is nic related somehow. Nic does have many more health effects than most of us would like to admit. Also most of us tend to take in more nic than when we smoked. I just take excedrin and ride it out. Cutting back on the vaping seems to help too.

Hi harmony ! Wow !!! Did I EVER get headaches !! After about 2 weeks in and for about 2 weeks. Not much fun !! All gone now...no troubles at all !!
The best to you !

So for you it was just the switch from analogs to vaping? That is very encouraging. There may be an end in sight and I may be okay with the juice that I have on hand.
The most frustrating part in this whole transition has been the juice. I wish there was a better way to tell what you needed in a mix before spending money and taking a gamble.

After smoking 40+ years, I had a lot of junk in me to get out !!! Water uptake is really important !!! Shortly after the "headache phase" I got an itchy phase !! Again MORE WATER !!! (and lots of lotion) but after about 5 weeks in, all was good. !! You can do it !!!! Just buy samples for now...that way you can find your nic range a little cheaper. (or DIY)

If you're getting headaches take two ibuprofin and call me in the morning. Oops, I forgot. My number's unlisted and I don't answer the phone most morning's anyway.

Seriously, I used nothing but 100% vg for months and never got a headache. In fact this thread is the first I've heard of people getting headaches from vg. FWIW I eventually got juices that were 65/35 pg/vg just because of the flavors and ratios available from Tasty Vapor. As it turns out the vapor production was not significantly reduced and I didn't find the juices notably harsher than the 100% vg I was used to.

Hopefully you'll find your sweet spot sooner rather than later. Most of us do. Good luck.

Yeah I forgot the water part. I'm in the itchy phase right now until I remind myself that I need to drink more. I'm a few months in but still a noob in some respects,

Don't throw out the possibility that your headaches have nothing to do with nicotine or vaping until you've given it a fair hearing--and by that I don't mean the health forum. Yeah, a doctor might tell you something you don't want to hear (i.e., stop vaping), but he might also stumble over something serious but non-vaping related in time to do something about it.

Once I dropped the cigs and vaped exclusively, I got lots of headaches.....only in my case, I think it was due to the mostly PG juice I was vaping. When I switched to 80pg, 20vg, they went away. I was about 2 wks for me too, so maybe it was a getting used to it thing and getting off the cigs. I vape 10-12mg and was an ultralight smoker myself.
