Tried that, but I'm a heavy vaper and the 18350 just wont last me long enough to be out of the house. I can crush a 1100 mah ego in half a day at school.What can I say? I like to vape.....
I thought that using the the 2250 mah 18650s would allow me a day or more vaping time.Sadly, I'm not finding that extended run time to justify the large size.
One of the many reasons I use a mechanical. My vamo lasts about 8 hours with a 2250 Panasonic 18650 and a stock protank. The same battery and Protank lasts a good day and a half in the mech before i need a fresh battery. And is smaller, nearly indestructible, better looking, and by wrapping my own low ohm coils, a better vape than delivered by the Vamo. After using the vamo for a few months, wife now wants a mech for a daily PV.
I have an SVD, which I think is slightly bigger than the Vamo. It took about a month for me to be comfortable taking it out in 18650 mode, but now I'm fine with it. I figure there's no sense in me worrying about what other people think of it, and if someone does ask about it I can show it to them, along with my Twist, and either they learn something new about PVs or they don't. It was definitely an adjustment, but now it kind of feels weird to vape something smaller lol.
Two 18350's provides the longest run time AND fully utilizes the power range of the Vamo. You can hit 15 watts with two 18350's which you can't with one 18650. This is really only important if you are using lower ohm dual coil cartos like I do.

For those not familiar with what people are talking about, here's a side-by-side comparison of a Vamo with different configurations:
Left is in 18350 mode, not really that large, even with a Vivi tank.
Center is the Vamo in 18650 mode and an RSST RBA - rather intimidating to some, and a little top-heavy, but still manageable.
Far right is my Bombshell Stinger, about the biggest mechanical MOD right now - but it's not that large considering the size of the battery in it - a 26650 (46698 Mah). With a Kick, it lasts a couple of days @ 9 Watts, and is actually quite comfortable to hold, and not top-heavy at all, even with a Stainless Steel RSST on it...very stable.
Go big or go home.....

For me, the Vamo is just too bulky and cumbersome to take out. Even using one 18350 the weight, almost 1/2#, is ridiculous.
It's a great PV for the price and I do like it but aluminum, like the Bolt, would have been a much better choice of material.
I purchased a $20 1100mah Winder VV for ease of use when out of the house.

Many of us do not agree. I take my Vamo everywhere. I prefer performance over appearance and could care less what others think.

I've known about vaping for a while but just decided in the last couple of days that i should try to get the analogs out of my life, so I'm gonna give it a try. I've had a couple no name ecigs but decided to go with the evic. i still have an analog in between, I'm not sure if that's gonna bother me or not but i don't know if i can stop cold or not.
oops and to keep with the topic, i don't worry about what people think.

Not because of what people think when I'm vaping it - but I carry nothing bigger than an ego-twist 650 and a mini nova when I'm out around town. .it fits in my front pocket. Anything larger and people I meet might be wondering if I'm a vaper or just really glad to see them, lol.

I am borrowing this line from another forum member, but it's not how many cigarettes you smoke, it's how many you don't. Even if you don't stop smoking completely, you are doing wonderful (in my opinion).
I have an itaste SVD it's 9" without a tank I'm using a i clear 30 or a 3 coil carto, It definitely gets looks but more good than bad, funny thing is it fits me like a glove

I never worry now. I vape with my VmodXL if going out for the day. I also have a REO Mini and a Mini VMOD but they would only be good for short trips. Bottom feeder boxes are the only devices I use anymore at home or out because it is so hassle free
The longer I vape the more my attitude changes. Whatever you vape with it is way better than smoking!
I like stealth when going into stores and use my E-Cab or a small clearos or cart on a 400 mah batt, but traveling there I use larger stuff. I get strange looks when vaping in public even with the smallish gear. I do get a laugh of looks on people's faces trying to figure what I'm "smoking". My Vamo is on the way and received a KTS Storm today, I consider them house and truck use only, for me.
