So who's boss around there anyhow? My husband has never smoked and when I told him I quit and was now using the PV's, he was thrilled. He said he'd pay for all of them I wanted and to buy some for the kids (the ones who smoke).

Maybe you should ask your wife if you should go get a couple cartons of cigarettes? Are you sure she wants you alive? :D

Who's the boss? Not sure anyone ought to be the boss in a supposedly 50/50 arrangement, but if I knew my spouse opposed the stuff I needed to vape I would likely open the shipment alone and integrate it into my other stuff. If that didn't go over, I'd probably do my vaping in private. Probably why I'm not married LOL

Which is worse? An earful or a lungful?
Our kids are ages 10 through 17 and they know what and why we are using these strange devices. They all say it's soo much better than when mom and dad stunk of smoke. We use the mini's so I guess they don't look so much like drug paraphernalia. Stick to your guns man. What you are doing is right for you...and everyone else in your family.

TheLizinator, I think your solution is fine. And you'll probably marry a 50-50 guy and you'll live happily ever after. :D

I think the spouse really needs to be understanding and even supportive, not to mention grateful...especially a spouse who also used to smoke and should really understand.

But the reality is, everyone has a different experience and we all have to deal with the one with which we're dealt. I just sympathize with the OP and hope his wife can learn some patience.

My wife is over here freaking out over this thread! I won't use the choice words she wants me to describe her feelings on the matter, but suffice it to say she also feels that educating the kids on what a PV is for, and using it in front of them, is far better than trying to conceal it - which they are going to find eventually - or smoke regular ciggies in front of them, etc.

Holy crapola. Sorry you have to hide your new prize man. If we could afford it at the moment - my wife would probably own every toy on the market LOL.

Take care and I hope she comes around,
- Hap

(Sounds like you might have picked up my ex :p )

In all seriousness, my wife is glad I'm not smoking anymore and being a smoker herself I feel very grateful she was able to start vaping instead.

I was thinking about my comments yesterday, I was trying to be funny but to someone actually in that situation, I probably just came off as an .... Sorry about that.

Hopefully she will come around, maybe you guys can sit down and talk it over. I know smoking and vaping aren't the prettiest things around but unless she has a padded cell she can lock you up in for 6 months while you detox she may need to be a little more excepting.

My kids are cool with it they are educated. It's the wife who's the ignorant one.

They seem to get it that Daddy doesn't smoke those smelly cigarettes anymore and the lectures from them on how smoking will kill me (taught in school) have stopped.

They know the liquid Nicotine is a poison and are scared to even get it on there hands.

You are right she is very tightly wound and it's almost impossible to get into her thick head that I'm trying to save my life by quitting smoking.
Haven't had a cigarette since June

Great job, keep it up! Does your wife smoke? I'm guessing no (otherwise you'd think she'd be more receptive to the idea of e-cigs). But the children know what's up, and that's way cool...but maybe her deal is that she thinks you're getting carried away on buying stuff (it's bloody addictive :D ) and she's using that as some sort of lame excuse?
